In the family we have two SM-J320FN phones, one is mine and the other is my wife's. We used the original samsung firmware two years long until the warranty expired. This time our phones worked two days without charging with normal usage.
I upgraded my phone to the LineageOS 14.1 with the lineage-14.1-20191225-UNOFFICIAL-j3xnlte upgrade. It works good, I love it. Sometimes it begins to discharge quickly (after special operations, for example last time I shared my phone's mobile LTE internet access through wifi with my desktop computer - I used it 10 minutes long and after it I closed sharing and switched off the mobile internet connection, but the fast discharging rate remained until the phone was restarted), but normally I still have the two days working time.
Three months after upgrading my phone a did it with my wife's one too, but I used the last LineageOS version (lineage-14.1-20200125-UNOFFICIAL-j3xnlte). And everything I do his phone discharges in less than a day. I tried everything, I uninstalled suspicious apps, logged the battery and the phone with GSAM Battery Monitor, I swapped the battery between the two phones, nothing changed. My phone works 2 days long, my wife's phone works 14-16 hours long.
Do you think some changes in the last version of the OS can cause this fast discharge? Does it make sense to try the older version? And in this case, can I downgrade the phone without resetting and deleting the user data?
Thank you for any good ideas.

Go to twrp, normal wipe and then try to install the zip again. If still bootloop, copy the zip os and other important things to pc, and then format data from recovery and install the rom.

OK, guys, for two weeks I replaced the firmware on my wife's handy to the lineage-14.1-20191225-UNOFFICIAL-j3xnlte version and it was fully successful. The fast discharge is away, the phone works two-three days without charging. My wife said she don't let me to upgrade the last (january) version again, so I cannot declare it 100% sure, but for me the last version has some fast discharge bug.

It's an old phone. Maybe the battery is dying. If you want to try, get a new battery. Other things you can't do.

[ROM] Looking for Custom ROM(Android 7/Nougat) for Samsung J3 (2016) [SM-J320Y]

Good day guys. Can I ask if the ROMs for Samsung J3(2016) [SM-J320F/G/M] are compatible for SM-J320Y? I browsed almost all forums here and there but I still can't find any. All are for F/G/M/FN, but nothing for Y. Is it compatible?

The sm-j320y(known as J3 Pro) isn't compatible with the J3 F/FN/G/M because of the different cpu, so I'm afraid that is not possible. Check the J3 Pro forum, maybe you can find something useful there. But if you really want to try this one, get the FN version of los and install it. Before that, make a backup with twrp or copy all your files on computer. This method can either break your phone or, twrp will tell you that the rom isn't compatible with the device. You have been warned!

I also returned to the last ROM from 2019 (25.12.2019) and I can confirm that the ROM (from 25.01.20120) has a bug that causes fast discharge.

I don't really know about it, but I searched for a bit, and fount that in this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/go...guide-repartition-nexus5-to-increase-t3509880
they use adb shell. So, you probably would need to install a partition manager binary to use those commands
I don't know how to do that (laughs in despair), it's very complex, is there no other way to do it on your cell phone? I don't have a computer

I don't know if there is any way. It's ovius that you cannot doit while the system partition is mounted, so the only way is to doit on the recovery. Sadly, TWRP doesn't have a repartition tool. You could find a zip with aroma ui that could do that. I cannot think another way to do it. In PC's you make a garted live image on a USB stick and that's it. If you cannot find the way to doit via recovery, you could try to boot from an external usb, ? Idk. I've never tried to do that.
