Semi-noob question here. How do I unlock the bootloader on the Tab 3 8.0? I haven't worked with my tablet in a really long time and I don't remember all the ins and outs. I'm used to Samsung devices on which you go into the developer options and select OEM unlock. I see no OEM unlock on the Tab 3. Does it have the bootloader unlocked by default or am I missing something?

Storage permissions?

I have a weird issue where on any Android 6 ROM and up, if I grant an app storage permission, I have to restart app to use that permission. Otherwise it'll pretend I didn't grant it. I tested on about every marshmallow and nougat ROM out there for this tablet. Does it with/without gapps and any kernel I use, Including stock. Is it just my tab? Any ideas how to fix?

Goodmorning everyone
I'm going crazy to read everything from the first page.
I managed to fix my old galaxy s3 i9305 with lineage 14.1 and it's fine.
I ask you, kindly, which working rom should I download for my SM-T315 tab.

One question, I'm a little scarce on the subject, but the kernel serves for security and therefore I can always update it through TWRP.
Thank you all for your cooperation, you are fantastic.

Hey Folks,
I know it's been a while since I've posted anything. I finally had a bit of a break yesterday, and decided to spin up a virtual machine and run a new LOS 14.1 build. I have posted it on my AndroidFileHost for T310 only (4/28 build date). It has root built in, but you will need to install busybox if your apps need it. I have included the mountspace additions to the kernel that @tigger2014 added.

I am now 2 weeks from finishing my degree, so I may have a little more free time to play around, but not sure if I will do as much as before.
This is the last build if I'm right.. cheers

I tried this with the macloader deleting but nothing changed. I still cant connect to wifi it only shows me "saved" but no connection
My tab 3 is a bit slow at no fault to the rom, it's an old device. I liked the speed of the oc kernel but also had the wifi issue without a fix. But as others have stated, the oc kernel works for some devices and not for others, even if they're the same model. Correct me if I'm wrong as I would love to get the oc kernel.

Try to use L speed app from play store, in performance mode, providing it root permissions,

Without installing the kernel.

It seems to work quite effectively,
as well, in speeding up this old machine.

Have you tried running Trimmer (fstrim) ? It usually does wonder, especially on older devices that have never been trimmed.

Although it has apparently stopped working properly on my SM-T310 (= the fstrim command does work but running it again produces the same number of bytes trimmed, and I notice no performance improvement whatsoever).

Same as https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/156562/fstrim-not-working

Anyone else having this problem ?
