[ROM][LineageOS-14.1] Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 - SM-T280 (gtexswifi)

Hey.
First of all thank you for creating this custom rom.
I recently got this tablet for pretty cheap and was hoping to get a bit more performance.

I have to confess I am a total noob when it comes to phones and tabets. But i followed the instructions and got it to run.

My only problems are the google apps. I downloaded the gapps like described and installed them with twrp, which prompted the installation as successful.
I don't have the play store though.
I downloaded the play-store as .apk, manged to install it, but when I start it it akes me to sign in. When i click on "sign in" nothing happens.
I tried it with multiple .apk versions from different sources. The same keeps happening.

What am I doing wrong? Is there any way to get the play store working?

you need to sign in to your google account in setting under accounts...... add account if don't have a google account then sign up for one at Google .

For some reason I could not even add a google account.
I managed to get it to work now. A couple of pages back I read something about mounting the system in TWRP befoe installing the Gapps, which I tried. Not sure if that made it work, but I have it running now.

Camera, GPS and FMRadio are still broken.
Please test bluetooth.. if it still has issues grab and share another logcat.
Updated widevine libraries included.
Locking screen animation is now fixed.

Really newbie question

After the Rom installation, the storage used by the system is now 6.3gb. Was it really that small to begin with? Because our Tab A only has 8gb(7.28gb to be exact) of memory and there is not enough wiggle room to add other apps.

Installed this rom to the tablet to be used by my niece and nephew for their online classes.

Still thank you for the devs! Updating this device gave it a new life and purpose.

As a suggestion, it seems that since I installed this version the wifi is very slow and many micro cuts

i envy all you guys..
a noob question here.
can i flash this rom on T285?

i'm on jedld rom (L14.1) now. open camera works fine for pics but it wouldn't help me with other apps like whatsapp.
am i missing something here?
do i need to uninstall stock cam and make this open camera as a system app?
any pointers would be great.

You cant. They have different firmwares and hardware.

Its the same process you download the latest you reboot to recovery and select the file and install the build because you are installing above the previous build this called dirty flash your previous data will not be deleted but some bugs may be occured .Now clean flash its been recommend most of the time but your data will be deleted so you should make a backup before you proceed with Migrate(free) or titanium backup(paid and free not user friendly) or Buggy backup pro(Its user friendly and its paid) for clean installastion you should go to twrp and select wipe format all data write "yes" for confirmation and after reboot to recovery mount your tablet to your pc copy the rom and install it.There are various videos and installastions for dirty and clean flash watch some videos and you will understand the proccess its all the same.its no necesary to be about this tablet or phone(the videos).

Thanks for adding build instructions to the github _mone. I've actually been trying to build it for a while now but it fails to boot the image once flashed. I'll try the instructions you have since they are a little different. Really thankful you are still working on this. Do you have any idea what is wrong with the GPS? It seems like it doesnt even give a option for it when I go to enable it.

I have tab A 7.0 T280
i tried several times, installed twrp 3.4.0.3 all ok, then magik disk v.12, then T280XXU0AQA4-Magisk-v12.0-boot.img, then lineage-14.1-20200512-UNOFFICIAL-gtexswifi.zip, finally after doing mount system ---> open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20201017.zip.

Reboot but nothing remains all with the samsung logo,

Also tested with SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822.zip then T280XXU0AQA4-SuperSU-v2.82-boot.img, then lineage-14.1-20200512-UNOFFICIAL-gtexswifi.zip, finally after doing mount system ---> open_gapps- arm-7.1-pico-20201017.zip.

Nothing, how can I solve? do i have to put the original rom back?
