I love the XZ1 hardware wise (16:9 aspect ratio, front-firing stereo speakers) very much. Would still be using it, if it would run GCam with NightSight, which I can not live without. Is there still no custom ROM that can run GCam incl. NightSight on the XZ1?

Stock camera is not working anymore due to incompatibility of stock library (libimageprocessorjni.so) with new libgui

I've upgraded from your LineageOS 17 build and the camera seems to work completely fine for me. Also mobile internet now finally works for me with this build (it didn't with LOS 17). The only thing that's missing is the default app for E-Mail.

Also is there a way to support you via a small donation? Like do you have Liberapay?

The carrier profile can use the files from XZ3(oem.sin).XZ1 stop updating very early,XZ3 is constantly being updated.
The carrier which are China Unicom and China Telecom used is from XZ3(oem.sin).

This file is modified according to XZ3.(by iovf and 沙河新基金啊)

Using this ROM for 2 months now...
Pros:
+ Mostly stable, except for very specific case (see cons)
+ Almost no bloatware (microg, vendor-specific apps etc) - modem switcher notifications are disableable at last
+ Passes SafetyNet with minimal handwaving
+ All hardware stuff appears to be working

Cons:
- High power consumption, discharge from full to 30 percents in 10 hours (was about 16 hours on LOS 17.1)
- Sudden freezes when making partial screenshots (short-press vol down + power)
- Camera app does not actually save to SD card
- Weird recovery - had to manually patch kernel image file for Magist setup, then install (written above, pg2 or 3 of this thread), looks like recovery coming with this ROM does something wrong - autopatch via recovery kills kernel, regardless which Magisk version do I pick

Youtube hdr works now. Clearly was silently broken by Google
some time before for a number of devices. I wish XZ1 was included for official quick update. Even my old lg g2 is listed to receive official android 11 support! I felt very disappointed.

to install this LineOSage 18.1 you need to unlock bootloader first? Or it needs just to flash twrp and from it install the new firmware... (18.1)

Youtube HDR is a stuttering fest. Anything above 480p HDR is unplayable and laggy.

On the other hand 4K normal SDR plays butterly smooth. What gives? Can you fix this on a future update someone very pretty please? Thank you!!!!!

Hi, wanting to update my sisters phone, from derfs 17.1 to this.
I'm slighty confused though. I thought firmware and custom rom same thing?
So, I need to update the firmware with the options, then install this rom?
I'm thinking I will just dirty flash from 17.1 (with a backup done ofc) but this firmware thing has thrown me.

Ps. Is this ROM still being supported, as last was in Jan 2021?

Random hang & reboot on intensive storage write (SD or internal, does not matter). May corrupt SD index. Only way to avoid is to lock and don't use phone at all when it writes much data.

I think (might be wrong) that gcam works on SODP ROMS. No idea if it works perfectly or if there are SODP roms in good shape rightw now, tho.
