I flashed the latest global firmware, but the lags are still present.

However, I noticed that the problem disappears when I turn on the battery saver. Probably some background process is causing the lag. Probably the problem lies in GApps.
This is super interesting. Sadly, I switched back to MIUI 12.5.2 as I will need some stability in the coming weeks. If this fixes the problem with the lag I was having (even after having flashed the global fw someone recommended) I will surely go back to LOS.

Could you get logs before and after you turn off battery saver and send the logs to @infrag ? I was going to send logs but again, switched back to miui eu 12.5.2

I flashed 2 different mi8's but haven't noticed any issue regarding mic. or lag. Everything is perfect.

They are both originally from China, one 64gb and the other 128gb. Flashed them this way (commands not exact but to clearify the steps I used)

1. Fastboot flash recovery lineageos19.1-recovery.IMG
2. Boot into recovery and wipe everything (data, system, cache).
3. adb sideload fw-global (this one: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/dipper/stable/V12.0.3.0.QEAMIXM/)
4. adb sideload lineageos19.1
5. adb sideload mindthegapps
6. Reboot
7. Profit?

I first used twrp to flash but that didn't go well. Mindthegapps would constantly crash and ota update would boot loop. With lineageos recovery everything is great.

Hi,

I don't know if it will happen to someone else, but the icons overlap each other in the notification bar, this did not happen in lineageos 18.1

Greetings.

Hi all, is it somehow possible to increase the in-call sound volume?
I tried to follow some tutorials about increasing the value in /vendor/etc/mixer_path_tavil.xml file, but the RX0 Digital Volume entry does not exist there in my case. I tried to append such line, but it didn't resolve the issue. Is there any other option? Thanks in advance

Why don't you share or make a PR on Lineage repo?

When dialing a mobile phone number, the default option is video call when connected.
How to set it to default voice call?

I've upgraded recently to 19.1 with mind-the-gapps and magisk manager. Everything went fine, but now I can't decrypt data in recovery: I've tried latest magisk, orange fox and lineage's own recovery. None of them asks for my PIN and the content of data stays encrypted. Is there any solution?

Yesterday I upgraded my former Mi8. I noticed that the symbols on the right in the status bar are positioned unfavorably.
If everything is shifted a little more to the right then 4 symbols also fit perfectly.
Otherwise everything works and the new owner is happy.

The pixel experience .zip rom flashes its own firmware, according to some is China one, overwriting previous firmware.

    Hello everyone!

Just posting to ask, are there any MAJOR current issues with the Nightly releases of LineageOS for Dipper? I'll be fresh-installing this OS from a very old (2019 lol) version of a now-discontinued OS, Havoc-OS, and just wanted to know if there's any FYI's or things to look out for before procceeding with the installation. Thanks!
Nothing major in my opinion. Go for it

hello there, have a couple questions
1 - will there be an android 13 version of LineageOS?
2 - coming from miui touch response/sensitivity seems strange, am I the only one noticing this? is there any fix?
3 - apart from rom, there is a recovery, do I need to install it? will it replace my twrp? I cant flash via fastboot right now, so if it doesn’t have the option to flash ROMs like twrp, I won’t install it..
and could you share flashable kernel from the latest update please
    Answer for your first question:

Thank you for the answer, and do you need to reinstall everytime you flash a new LineageOS nightly?
No need to reinstall after system updates

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

    GPL compliance:

    Device tree source code: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_device_xiaomi_dipper
    Kernel source code: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_xiaomi_sdm845

    Compatibility:
    Compatible with Xiaomi Mi 8
Builds are based off the Xiaomi's Android 10 firmware.

Recommended firmware is latest MIUI stable firmware.

    Notice:
No custom kernels are supported in this thread. Only stock kernel and official builds will be supported. No bug reports if that's not the case.

    Installation:
Reboot to recovery (TWRP recovery for Mi 8)
    Format /system, /data and /cache
    Install MIUI firmware
    Install LineageOS zip package
Install a Google Apps package of your choice.

    Important notes:
    * Required * firmware version must be based on MIUI *-based builds.
Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if MIUI was previously installed and device was encrypted.

All LineageOS team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

    Dear @infrag

I have a big smile on my face ... because I see that the NFC change was merged a couple of hours ago.

Was this the merge you were waiting for?
Yes. NFC should now work fine in official builds so now can be promoted to 19.1 builds once accepted. I've lodged the request so should hopefully not be too far away.

    Lineage-19.1 builds in OP.
    8
@infrag thanks a ton for spotting the changes.
Please thank @UnluckyPoet also as he did most of the work.
    7
    Dear @infrag,

if it isn't mandatory to have the microphone bug completely fixed I would highly appreciate if you would make LOS 19.1 official as not everybody is affected by it, and not everybody is using the earpiece for phoning, or is using GSM calls anymore.

I am personally very happy with your excellent work!
I'm waiting on my NFC change to be added before making dipper official 19.1.
It requires the maintainer of the common repo to commit the change so I'm waiting on that.
