Finally loaded Lineage 14.1

I have spent many hours reading this thread but have not read all of it so apologies if I am repeating something that has already been covered........

I have just updated my GT-N8010 with lineage-14.1-20170810-UNOFFICIAL-n8013.zip + open_gapps-arm-7.1-mini-20181010.zip & used the latest TWERP release 3.0.2 to do this.

I initially tried loading these two as above, the first issue was that having loaded them the tablet would get stuck with a battery symbol and would not boot. The way I found around this was to boot the tablet into Odin mode but choose Reboot Phone rather than going into Odin itself. This then enabled Lineage to boot but it then got stuck in a loop, the lineage logo would go through its line with a moving O, then have three O's and start again.

Eventually I found that I could get cm-13.0-20160831-UNOFFICIAL-n8013.zip to load with open_gapps-arm-7.1-mini-20181010.zip and this worked well. I then did a dirty load (No Wiping) of lineage-14.1-20170810-UNOFFICIAL-n8013.zip and this is now working without problems.

Hi I recently tried the latest n8000 rom to no avail. The same as the previous 2017 rom, My n8000 installs the rom correctly but when it comes to setting up the wifi I get no further as I am not able to get a keyboard up to type my wifi password. Is there resolution to this issue please.

Its not an UPGRADE its a custom rom .

Quick question.... Ive been trying to install this rom on N8000, however, after the installation is complete (ROM + Gapps) i keep getting stuck on bootloop. Ive been reading for... 5 hours now and i cant find anything so i decided to write here.
So what ive done is after getting stuck in the bootloop for the 1st time:
1. Stock rom installation
2. Downloading lineage-14.1-20170810-UNOFFICIAL-n8000 + gapps for 7.1 ARM nano
3. going to twrp and doing a wipe on dalvik,system + cache.
4. Flashing Lineage rom + Gapps, reboot - > i get stuck in that boot loop -> going back to twrp - reset again and going back to point 1 via ODIN 3 3.12

Any idea what im doing wrong? Also its the WiFi + 3G. I know there is a possibility for the SIM to be not detected but im willing to take the risk :|

I also own a N8000 and I've been in the adventures of customizations and modifications of mobile devices for some years now.

From my recent experience and knowledge, what is causing your bootloop is the option chosen when the TWRP arrives at the final stage of the process, which is the "SuperSU check".

[Solution]: Repeat all steps in the same way, and when you get to this screen, choose "DO NOT INSTALL" instead of "Swipe to install".

TWRP is probably unable to recognize that your device is already rooted and consequently can not properly apply your script, damaging ROM initialization.

Give some feedback to us after trying this my tip.

I just want to say HUGE THANKS for sharing this thread and all the members who helped this community!

For those who had issues like stuck in bootloop & unable to root their device, I'll share mine on how I managed to install flawlessly after numerous tries.
My Device: GT-N8000

1. Download Lineage ROM, Gapps, & addonsu-14.1-arm-signed.zip. https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=26052
https://opengapps.org/ Please take note that you should choose >ARM >7.1 >(Variant: depends on what you need, I chose Full) & https://download.lineageos.org/extras
2. Boot to TWRP (I'm using "twrp-2.8.5.0-gt-n8000") then do a Wipe > Factory Reset.
3. Flash Lineage 14.1 rom then do a wipe dalvik/cache. Then flash Gapps then do a wipe dalvik/cache.
4. Boot to system & wait patiently, booting device may take while. After setup of new device, enable Developer Options in settings.
5. Boot to TWRP again, install addonsu-14.1-arm-signed.zip, do not wipe dalvik/cache, reboot system. Note: I failed rooting using latest version of 15.1 addon, that's why I tried 14.1 & it works perfectly.
6. Go to Developer Options >Root Access >Choose Apps & ADB. Then install Root Checker to confirm root.
7. Use Virtual Keyboard or download keyboard app. Then download Google Camera.
