How to install:
Follow the usual procedure,

Hello all. Brand-new Android user here with a hand-me-down GT-N8013. I need to update the OS from its current 4.1.2 to at least 4.4.2 in order to do useful things with it. Threads like this seem promising but rely on implicit knowledge that I don't have. Is there a walkthrough anywhere that would step me through what to do?

Here a start. It should get CWM and root.

From there you can switch to TWRP as needed and flash newer ROMs, like the one in this thread.

Beyond that, read older threads for more details on flashing ROMs.

fantastic smooth work

Thank you very much for the little tutorial here and the work beforehand while creating this beauty.
I just installed the ROM on my N8000 using CWM, I am tired from reading forums but I am patient since this is not the first mod I flash..

I had some trouble with root. One main reason for several failed Odin Flashes yesterday was obviously Knox (or the latest Kitkat 4.4.2 version with its security patches). It is important to uncheck "Auto-Reboot" in Odin. Flash cwm, then install update-Supersu-v1.93 directly from cwm. Then again I had to download SuperSU App and get Root Access, RootChecker did not detect Root before that. Great.
Afterwards I booted to cwm, did a wipe/factory reset, flashed the rom, wiped dalvik, flashed gapps arm 7.1 nano, wiped dalvik again...first attempt...there's this beauty.
It took like 8minutes to reboot, seemed like 8 hours. It looks perfect.
Long live the 10.1 n8000 :)

Nevertheless somehow I cannot manage addonsu15.1 or 14.1 to install fully, it indicates a failure. Some Gapps do not work properly or force close (freeze), play store downloads apps slowly, contacts force close, etc..
My developer options are activated, Apps and ADB have root, so I seem to have SU rights, right?

Cursor is not visible

First post here. Sorry to bump an old thread but I flashed my N8000 with LOS 14 a week ago. It is really great and I love it. However, since the last two days, I have been pulling my hair with this mouse cursor being invisible issue. I have a bluetooth keyboard with trackpad that I use with my S7 on stock rom as well has my laptop but on my N8000, there is no cursor visible. The scrolling and click all work but I cannot know where I am clicking. When I rotate the screen, I am able to see the cursor for a split second but then it disappears again. Also, if I enable simulation of secondary displays in developer options, I am able to see the cursor in the simulated screens. I tried using another mouse, Logitech M557 but got the same result. After many searches, I have also tried making the cursor larger in settings and even editing the framework-res.apk replacing drawable-mdpi image of pointer_arrow but nothing has solved this problem. I am using Ease Mouse as a temporary solution to locate the pointer but it hinders full mouse capability like scrolling and such. I am almost at the end of my wits and am thinking of removing Lineage OS altogether but would be grateful if someone could point me to a solution. I was wondering whether I am the only one facing such a problem, in which case reflashing might solve it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This ROM doesn't work on my N8000 with Baseband N8000XXUDNH1

If your N8000's WiFi can connect to WPA2 networks with this ROM, please share your baseband on the N8000 Baseband Collection thread to help facilitate future N8000 ROM development.

Hi... i am a litte newbie (and sorry for my bad english, hehe), then anyone can give a little help: a mini-tutorial or step-to-step of how to upgrade to Android 7 for tablet N8010 or something similar? Need the TWRP during the process?? Or what?? A simple tutorial or video will be of great help for me to understand how to do, post here a link, if you can.

If N801X means N8010, N8011, N8012, N8013, etc... right? But, this first link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=26049 is for N8013, not? Or also works on N8010 (my tablet) too??

Experts, I have GT-N8000 and I am trying to upgrade it to Nougat. I have problem installing TWRP. I tried everything possible available on internet. the ODIN shows TWRP installed successfully but when I reboot using Volume UP and Power button, I get the default ROM only. What could be the issue?

Which TWRP?

Try an older TWRP img from Odin then update from TWRP.

Also verify the sequence to enter recovery.

    How to install:
Follow the usual procedure, important things is to use supported recovery, you can download it from the download section.
Also do not forget, wipe everything, install rom, then gapps without reboot between!
Others recovery will not be supported!
Also if you come from another ROM, full wipe is required.

    • Which Gapps to use? OpenGapps works great, you can get them from here
    • After installing ROM + Gapss, GApps keep crashing: Just update your recovery with the provided twrp (in cm-13.0 thread)
    • Keyboard does not work: enable hardware keyboard in settings.
    • If you don't want to see cursor while using S-Pen, you can disable it it in settings / inputs
    • Camera is not working: use google camera

SElinux is set to permissive, I'm tired of rewriting those rules...
Charging while tablet is off will be fixed in next release for those who are interested.
    New build incoming.
N8013 is up, N8000 will follow.

N8000 users, please let me know if wifi tethering is fixed, thank you.
