Can anyone check if they're able to create a new tweet on Twitter, please? The keyboard shows up fine when replying to tweets, but cannot create a new tweet. I am using the beta version of Twitter, but it works fine on my phone.

Well, I give up trying to install the latest version (lineage-14.1-20170116-UNOFFICIAL-n8013). I've tred installing dirty as well as clean several different times and end up with "android" being displayed constantly after rebooting. I've followed the various methods posted here that were supposedly successful and still no joy. I've let it sit for up to 24 hours waiting for something to happen and it just sits there with "android" on the screen.

So I'm just going back to the previous version (cm-14.1-20161208-UNOFFICIAL-n8013) that I know does work. I'm happy with it and am not upset that I can't install the latest.

This isn't a complaint. As stated, I'm happy with the version that does load and run.

For info:
Version: Note 10.1 8013
TWRP: 2.8.7.0
GApps: open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20161129

The only TWRP that worked for me was 3.0.2.0

Strange crashes

Hay,

installed on my 8010 but I have the Settings-Crash on the startup, too. MTP crashes an closes but without any affect?
Even strange: The delivered camera app does work, the google-camera crashes :confused:
Any suggestions for the settings-problem?

Leaving it blank doesn't help. I haven't enabled encryption. I have TWRP 2.6.x. I can't flash an IMG with that version. I guess I'll have to do it the ODIN way. BTW, highest version for N8000 is 2.8.7, right?

I just update TWRP and reinstalled the old GNABO ROM. And guess what. The PIN came up again. Clearly someone had messed with my tablet. I guess I'll take it back to the guy who last repaired it.

I have seen a couple of post related to Kodi. Has anyone been successful in getting this app to work with this ROM? I am still getting blank screens when the app launches. I have a read all the other posts related to Kodi, but none of them seems to help. Thank you in advance.

For Kodi i use "Yatse" --> you will find it in the Google Store. Works great with this ROM.

Tablet blocked after reboot, say failing encryption

My problem is that I never use that functionality and in the same screen appear a bottom to restore but it doesn't work.
I tried to reboot into recovery, to reflash the ROM but after showing the teamwin logo it crashed and start to boot again and either get stranded in the Android logo or go into the failing encryption screen.
After that I tried to flash the stock firmware with Odin but the program didn't recognize the tablet.
As last recuse I tried with Samsung Kies but that program couldn't connect and show a message explaining that the communication has been blocked by the security program of the tablet.
Can somebody suggest a way to either reflash the ROM or flash the stock firmware to start form the beginning
My tablet is a n-8010, my Recovery is twrp 2.8, Kies is 3.2.1684_2 and I tried with Odin 3.04 and 3.10.7

I will be in an eternal debt to the one that could help me.

Could someone here who has successfully flashed rom and open gapps share with me the exact open gapps? It is about two weeks with no device working and I need it for Sunday morning. Please?

This is the exact opengapp version I have installed on my n8000 open_gapps-arm-7.1-stock-20170118.zip Note that you have to install both rom of the zip and the gapps together, not before rom and after gapps.

    How to install:
    Follow the usual procedure, important things is to use supported recovery, you can download it from the download section.
    Also do not forget, wipe everything, install rom, then gapps without reboot between!
    Others recovery will not be supported!
    Also if you come from another ROM, full wipe is required.

    FAQ:
    • Which Gapps to use? OpenGapps works great, you can get them from here
    • After installing ROM + Gapss, GApps keep crashing: Just update your recovery with the provided twrp (in cm-13.0 thread)
    • Keyboard does not work: enable hardware keyboard in settings.
    • If you don't want to see cursor while using S-Pen, you can disable it it in settings / inputs
    • Camera is not working: use google camera

    SECURITY WARNING:
    SElinux is set to permissive, I'm tired of rewriting those rules...
