Hi

Sorry i don't read all, and my english is really poor

Well i got a N7000 under 4.1.2 with philz recovery 3.75 .. i have modified my pit..
And i don't succeed intsalling this rom even with the method in op..
It always return on philz first page without installing anything, even if i select Nightowl-cm12-BETA3-n7000-Kernel-only or Nightowl-cm13-20160711-n7000 .. Same thing if i want to install a custom rom like omni-4.4.4-20150520-n7000-FINAL

Any help would be greatly apprecied, it's for my wife to play pokemon .. lol

Cheers

Download the cm12.1 kernel only (better for gaming), wipe system/data/cache then flash
Reboot into recovery then install the rom

If you want to use the phone mainly for gaming you can use my cm12.1 rom to get a better performance in games.

Did you reboot the recovery after you flashed the kernel?

If this will not help then it is possible that your old recovery version will have problems with newer update files.
Then you can try to follow
" The steps to install it from an stock samsung rom are:"
from the first post and start with step 2

Hello! Some troubles. In games after some time the phone became too hot and slowdown. It's the same in web serfing. And in other resource-intensive applications.
I have 6.0.1 20160711 build

You can try the older kernel one version behind. Heat and lag is normal for the Note

Re

Finally i succeed, and with advice of bauner i use CM12.1 ..
I think that was the version of the first cwm i use that was bad ..
I use a cmw for kitkat and after ca all was good .. After first boot i use to flash twrp recovery and i repit with lanchon method .. All perfect ..
Does i need to put an other recovery or i can stand with TWRP ?

Thx for all your help, my wife is happy ..

Note 1 still up to date (y)!

My display gets pretty hot (must be ~ 45°c), is Andoird 6 really this intense? Active processes do not show that much action going on.
3G seems not to get any connection, may have to do with the USB connector I just replaced but does not matter so much anyways.

TWRP is good, just keep it for future upgrade or flash. :)

They say the Note runs a slightly hotter than most, but 45C for the screen does seem hot, mine has never got that hot. Is 45C a guess about screen temp or is that what an app is telling the internal temp is? What were you doing? Some activities that have high CPU will easily give internal temp like that. Have you looked at CPU activity with an app like Trepn?
