GPS not detected... SOLVED!

Dear bauner,

Firstly, thank u so much for ur effort and devotion towards the N7000 development. Ur work has revived my old sluggish N7000 and now snappy and feels like a brand new phone.

However, there was one thing that I couldn't figure out.. the GPS. It has not worked since the day I flashed the new rom. I tried to clean format, wiped all the cache and dalvik, installed the CM13 but GPS wasn't working. Reformatted then tried CM12, same thing. Then I start from scratch and decided to stay with CM13 despite having no GPS.

Then, I read the 'Speed Up Satellite Fix for GPS' thread and gave it a try. Unfortunately, the GPS still doesn't work. I almost gave up, but last night I googled and read this particular thread.. it was regarding a few files from the /data/gps folder that needed to be deleted. So, I deleted all the files in that folder. Rebooted, run the GPS Status and Toolbox app, selected the 'manage A-GPS > reset' followed by 'manage A-GPS > download', and guess what..... MY GPS FINALLY WORKED!!!!! Immediately, it tracked a few satellites and fixed within a few seconds!

Just wanted to share incase anyone had similar situation after flashing. Hope it helps. :)

With Stick Mount is no matter what file system you have on usb. Did you mount it in app? If you use ntfs usb, should open via Stick Mount, system not see it. When you plug in it ask you for using Stick Mount, pushing ok and it mounts your drive. In notifications you found your drive, just tap it and use.

Did some sort of Battery test today. I used Sygic Navigation for a 2,5h+ one way drive. Battery drained from 100 to 15% in that time. Screen Time 2h47m, 837 mAh. WiFi was on but not used, mobile data updates traffic every 2 minutes, screen was on all the time and used voice navigatition. So the 2.5h screen time seems realistic for our N7000. I have a KINPS 3100mAh Battery from amazon. @bauner
On the way back from above mentioned trip the Phone was on a 5200 mA powerbank, further the same conditions as above. After about 2hrs the Phone did a soft reboot. Charge at that point was 74 % (checked after reboot),Sygic Navigation was in full working order. After the soft reboot I had the "no data sim" issue, full reboot fixed that.

For what it is worth...

That's quite nice.
I get about 2 hours and 30 minutes of screen on time with similar heavy usage.

The main issue for me is however that there a various spots in my city, rather the whole country where my phone doesn't get 100% network.
If I enter these places the phone increases the power to the network antenna to boost the signal, this causes me to have very less battery life of only about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

For the about the same network reasons I use DS Battery Saver. I switch of data and WiFi to save on battery. It gives a small delay in notifications but I can live with that. And deepsleep when the screen is off. Thuis saved power extends my overall usage. Bit OT, sorry folks.

Whattttt? (JR style) :p where is it? I want it NOW :p
Quick! Someone chain him up, put his mask on he's about to loose it!!! Or get that Nougat ROM to him quick!

yes @AutumQueen92 what ROM is that? Not that I'll be putting in on the wife's phone just yet, she has zero tolerance for FC's etc and is likely to go all Hannabil Lecter on me if it was to FC!

Lel calm down people, it's just an Xposed module for the status bar and QS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xposed-android-n-ify-features-t3345091

If you want, you can download the stable version and let it sate your hunger until we receive news on CM14.

My friend,

My GPS has the same problem. Later I will do this procedure. Hope it works. I've tried everything.
It's the only thing that does not work on my N7000 CM13.

Trouble with Pokémon Go

Hey guys, is there a problem with that ROM while playing Pokémon GO? Here GPS ir weak and I read about and some guys spoke about this ROM isn't good to games. What you think about it? Any of you got this problem?

---------- Post added at 01:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:44 PM ----------

Here also no problems with GPS. Working just fine with maps and sygic.
Have within seconds a good GPS signal, see image below.
Also uploaded my GPS config file, perhaps you should check that out. Perhaps there are some settings missing.

Hello, how I use your configuration to fix my GPS signal?
