Hi guys!
It's unnoficial LineageOS14.1 for Galaxy S4 Value Edition (GT-I9515).
I strongly recommend to perform a backup of your current rom before installation.

To all people - do not try to update rom manually with jfltexx nightlies - i9515 is jfvelte!
Valid updates are only in my threads .

Working:
  • bluetooth
  • wifi
  • nfc
  • camera
  • RIL
  • IR
  • sensors
  • portable wifi hotspot
  • wifi 5GHz
  • selinux is enforcing
Not working:
  • full disk encryption

Known issues:
  • Default camera app (Snap) might be unstable
  • If you have troubles with CMFileManager - look at the post #116

Changelogs:

20171223:
  • FlipFlap app is back
  • latest security patch
20171107:
  • latest security patch (including krack fix)
20171004:
  • switch to open-source RIL
  • latest security patch
20170206:
  • wifi should be more stable
  • improved wifi/bt concurrency
  • updated libsensirion_j1.so
  • known issue - Snap app will fail if you'll switch between front/rear camera in video mode; switching in photo mode seems to be working fine; video recording works as well
20170121:
  • wifi shoud be more stable
  • video recording works again
20161226:
  • fix few selinux denials
  • build with sdclang
  • disable sdcardfs
20161217:
  • First build

Installation instruction
If you're coming from stock ROM or want to have clean install:
1. Boot to recovery (i recommend to use TWRP)
2. Format /system, /data, /cache and dalvik cache
3. Flash ROM and then flash gapps (but remember - you have to install gapps before first boot of the system - otherwise they won't work properly!)
4. Reboot to system and voilà - you have installed CM14.1 and gapps :)

If you're coming from CM13 and want to keep your installed apps and settings:
1. Boot to recovery (i recommend to use TWRP)
2. Format /system, /cache and dalvik cache
3. Flash ROM and then flash gapps (but remember - you have to install gapps before first boot of the system - otherwise they won't work properly!)
4. Reboot to system and voilà - you have installed CM14.1 and gapps :)

As I'm writing this, I found only two bugs

- When in charge battery percentage (in the circle) only shows up on lockscreen
- The signal icon has an X instead of nothing, when 3g or 4g is disable

For the second bug, the x is a normal Android N feature, it's a way of showing you that you have LTE disabled. The only moment when there's nothing (not a x or a lte) is when you have LTE enabled but you are connected to an internet-giving WiFi network, meaning that the LTE will reconnect as soon as you loose WiFi-internet connection or WiFi signal.

OMG [emoji44] the great day is finally arrived! I can't wait to flash it and give my opinions. For now @sombree I suggest you to redesign the thread's homepage, because in my opinion CM14.1 needs more attention.

My phone reboots itself 2-3 times per day with no reason.
Often while idle on the desk I hear a vibration, I look at it and it's rebooting... Sometimes also during the night in aero mode, waking me up..

And mine doesn't - I can't replicate the issue so it's rather hard to debug it ;)

Btw. I have some news guys:

Sorry for a delay, new compilation is out.
    Main changes:
    - switch to LineageOS jf's kernel only with few extra commits (fast charge and faux sound)
    - add aptX support
    - gps might acquire lock a little faster
    - built with sdclang
    - update widevine blobs
Wifi still might disconnect from time to time.

@sombree is everything ok? It's a long time we don't hear news from you.
Are you planning to release any update in the future?

Yeah, I'm fine. I just had a lot of tests and projects lately. I'm planning to push out new build tomorrow evening (assuming that anybody is still interested).
