OK many thanks
So i am already updated

I am noting some lag ...
I am not sure about the cause because have not used wo Carcosa Kernel ...
What your idea ?? Do you have lag ??

Antutu gives to me a score around 23764 ... so small :(

With M-kernel a73 iti became 23891 ... so small :(

My experience with Lollipop so far (the only LP ROM I've used is GwT, but it's consistent with what grouper users are saying about stock):

Within any app, everything is fast, noticeably faster than KK. Switching apps can be very, very slow. Like four seconds for the task switcher to come up. Using the deadline or SIO IO scheduler mitigates this slightly vs using cfq , bfq, or row, but only slightly. It's as if, instead of stuttering, LP just waits until it can do something smoothly.

I'm kind of torn. I really like the looks of LP, and a few of the new features like trusted device, trusted face, but the performance issues and the fact that several apps I like don't work on it yet means I may go temporarily back to KK. I haven't decided yet.

There are no io perfomanse issues in lollipop. There are slow flash memory in tablet. In Asus tf700 with tegra3 slow memory too. So only one tweaktweak will be help for us - turne off fsynk or turned on dynfsynk. Try m-kernel to see this

Is m-kernel ready for TILAPIA 5..2 too ??
I believe it is. There is not a separate kernel for grouper vs tilapia.

Sent from my Nexus 7 3G using XDA Free mobile app
Just installed a73 and it's working fine!

Thanks @Synman needed a kick in my @$$ to do some fiddling with my Nexus - it's been stock for way too long!
Nice ROM!! From Pics of Lollipop, I thought I'd hate it, but on the Nexus I like....... !!! :D

but I must say that m-kernel or any other (except carcosa) not have patch for xmm_baseband wakelock problem. so on m-kernel you will have much bigger battery drain in sleep

Hi Synman!
Thanks for the great work!
I'm gonna try it in a few hours. One question though. In your instructions, you pointed a link for the latest Twrp for Nexus 7 wifi (Grouper), while there's also a version for Nexus 7 3g (Tilapia). Do both work the same way on N7 3G?

F2FS Version

Hi Synman!
I'd like to thank you for all your work! I read a lot of report about this ROM and i'd like to flash on my own N7 3G.
I just want to know if you are going to release a F2FS version of this ROM, which maybe will increase the performance of the system.
Thank you anyway, I'm going to try this new Lollipop! ;)

Thanks a lot for this. This made the device usable again. All in all effort 1h, as I had nothing prepared (adb, drivers, fastboot, ...). Had an app crashing once in a while, will report if I find errors. Until then: Many thanks!

As I really appreciate this: Anywhere, I can donate a beer or two, or twelve?
