Performance is NOT the driver behind my recommendation. Simplicity for the masses is the reason.

With a little time I'm sure someone could get GwT running with F2FS...
Well we've come one step closer, because now TWRP v2.8.4.1 allows you to convert partitions in Tilapia to F2FS, so we no longer have to flash a modded recovery.

Hello! System reaction is very slow. When opening app drawer, it takes 10 seconds until anything happens.

Installed m-kernel Yesterday will tell you more if it helped
i used Carcosa for few days
I can confirm that it is able to fix the issue of kernel wakelock named BASEBAND_XMM_POWER (as Franco in the previous version for KitKat)
But i can confirm that M-Kernel a-73 is more performing

I was using carcosa which was already included in your rom. Is there a newer version? Seem like it is a kitkat kernel from what I was reading. Correct me if I am wrong. Thank you

Carcosa bundled inside this rom is the last available # 33 by jfmcbrayer (as Synman said in post #266)
Carcosa exists for different version of android (JB, KK) and for LL too
I spoken of lags with Carcosa in post # 264 and jfmcbrayer gave me a feedback with the post # 265

I've mentioned my experience with Lollipop performance earlier on the thread, but I'll recap. Individual apps are fast, but anything that switches tasks is very slow, and especially the task switcher. It looks like this is just an AOSP problem, as it affects basically everyone on grouper, tilapia, and several other devices as well. The app drawer and the task switcher are faster when you've used them recently.

I installed M-kernel for testing as well, but it didn't solve any of the performance problems that actually bother me. Metallice's CPU governor is very good, though.

If anyone has concrete suggestions for improving carcosa kernel on Lollipop, I'm glad to take them. Either here, or in the dev thread for the kernel.

Anybody experiencing heavy lags after tablet has been on for a day? A reboot fixes it for me.
Not at all. Also not the mentioned app drawer lag. Tablet runs smooth. Even streaming fhd content vie LAN works without lags. Totally awesome.

From what I can see: I had the tab on for over a day now. Installed like a maniac, tried games, video streaming, etc. I opened the appdrawer, it showed up right away. Also the task manager showed up right away, as well als the app swithing worked without any delay.

I'm sorry but i have to go back to stock KitKat. This ROM is lagging andò has a massive battery drain. I usually reach 2 days on stock KK, but now is terrible on 3G...

Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app

Hi ppl,

I've installed this ROM on Nexus 7 3G with this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7/orig-development/lollipop-phantom-kernel-r1-t2943679 , convert /data to F2FS and works like a charm.

Any other experience you ppl want to share on something like this?

Regards,
Dear user,
if i perform the conversion od my data to F2FS today (all the app have been installed, etc) will i loose all data ??
I gived a look to 3D of Phantom Kernel suggested by you; it seems that it was created for N7 GRUOPER only
