Rock & Roll!!!

I'm glad that the only major issue you had was wading through all the customizations. ;) That is what drew me to BlissPop. With the backed in customizations I had no dire need for xposed and with the current status of xposed for Lollipop that is a good thing.

As for f2fs compatibility, I'd like to see it implemented in TWRP first before I begin to dig into it in the rom. I'm still learning the Android ropes and my linux skills are rusty. I've been out of the field for nearly 20 years.

And I wholeheartedly agree that without all the great devs mentioned we wouldn't have nearly as much fun, enjoyment and functionality out of our devices that we do.

And with all that said:

New Build Up!!
Let the Flashing begin!!! >>> UPDATE >>> just dirty flashed over 20150617 and preliminary results are all good! :good:
I can't wait to see what you come up with after brushing off some of that rust :D

TF700, TWRP & F2FS:
Dees_Troy and Official TWRP has had F2FS implemented for several versions now and not to be out-done; the new "Kings of KANG" have got a super-modified version of TWRP (sorry, i seem to be on a roll this morning). the only other requirement that I vaguely know of for F2FS is Kernel support. That is where my micro-knowledge of F2FS ends but if you check over at the TF700 Dev threads you will no doubt find our brilliant friends that will certainly bring you up to speed.
BTW i have a couple TF700's and i would be glad to volunteer for some testing if you chose to peruse Blisspop on the TF700.

Thank you again

Thinking about installing this ROM. What happens when the keyboard dock is attached? Can this ROM identify it?
I don't own a dock so I can't test that functionality. All I can say is do a nandroid backup, flash and test. The only issues that I can forsee would be the dock battery status not showing up in the status bar and possibly some issues with the dock SD card. Those seem to be the most common issues with custom ROMS and the dock.

I looked into f2fs in TWRP, I did not see an option to format a partition with that file system in our version of TWRP for the TF701. So it seems our guys have not put f2fs support into our version of TWRP yet. I know for the LG G3, the MultiROM version of TWRP, f2fs was just recently added and support was just added to the developer's ROM. So that would be something to go into the TF701 TWRP thread and ask about.

I guess if there is enough interest in BlissPop for the TF700 I can do builds for it as well.

I'm sorry, i meant F2FS support was available for the TF700 in regard to Isham.padron question.

The main reason for F2FS on the TF700 was due to an I/O bottleneck apparently caused by ASUS using a poor quality component.

Sorry bout that mix up :D

The keyboard dock is working well, it was fixed in CM a long time ago.
A couple of ideas for our awesome developer:
-There is a newer version of Viper4Android, maybe you could include it in future builds.
-There is a known CM bug that make many elements of the dialog boxes appear in the wrong place when a virtual keyboard is selected (arrows when copying/pasting text, text suggestions). Maybe you could have a look as it's very annoying.
-I was having screen flickering in many apps. I managed to solve it going to developer options: disable HW overlays.
I'm very satisfied with BlissPop, in fact I have installed it also on my smartphone. I hope that we can have timely updates.

Dear SonjaMichelle and your teamates,

first of all, thanks so much for your effort on this great project! However, I come up with battery problem again (previous version CROMi-X_DEODEX_7.0.3_signed). see the attached snap shoot. I have flashed the recovery img, all wiped and formatted internal storage to install this great version. Would you please advice on my situation? thanks!

What do you mean you've come up with this problem again? Or is this a problem you've had with other ROMs? Is it only with this ROM? You need to communicate more with words that just with a snapshot. I can't really help you based on that little information. At first guess I'd say you have a bad battery.

Give me a bit more info and I will see what I can do to help.

Actually this problem happened in previous version is cromix 7.0.3. When I play a 3D game, in a sudden, the device is no response and it reboots automatically. After that, the battery is sometimes 6% sometimes 20% sometimes 100%. It is fixed by wipe all data(factory reset, cache, dalvik) and reinstall again. Recently, such issue appears again.

I hope the battery can be fixed by upgrading to this version. However, it does not work. If it is hardware malfunction, I think the battery will drink quickly but not play game last for 3 hours. Would you please help? Thanks!

So it happens in other ROMs as well. Sounds like you may have a bad battery. Playing musical ROMs isn't really going to help the issue. How old is your tablet?

I would suggest posting your problem in the Q&A Forum where a wider audience would see your post. Might get more help that way.

I read nearly all Q&A section but only a few case like me. their final solution is go to ASUS CS for maintenance. So, I paid hkd$1,000 for fixing the battery issue half year ago. It was brought in 2013
with a package including a docking. Should I crack my tablet and replace a new battery? Do you have any source how open it? Thanks

New Build Up!

Now at Version 3.6.0. Sync'ed to Bliss 7/5/15 sources.

I'll look into adding the dock battery support. It requires changes not only to the devices tree but also to frameworks, base and settings. That will cause some issues down the line with sync'ing with Bliss sources. I don't own a dock so I can't test the changes myself to see if they work, so it would be untested. No promises, but I'll see what I can do.

@SonjaMichelle I think someone already mentioned it that the CM has already the docking support covered. You mean it's not covering the extra Battery?
I would love to test this ROM (and yes, donate) if it will have both battery supported.

Thanks

This new build kicks major butt. Everything is working & working well. :good:
As nice as omni is for a base, there is no place or option for the word "Theme" (if i see one more white screen with green letters i will....lets just say my stomach will be upset).
Thank you so much :)

BTW...the dock has been and will always be JUNK on the 701. I am at a loss how asus took a very good feature for the TF700 & made it close to worthless. don't waste a single second of your talents on it, pershoot,lj & sbdags have spent alot of time on it and made it better but the hardware/battery issues are not fixable(imo)

A LOT of changes were made upstream. Many changes were made to the toolchains as well that broke the build process. I had to go back to an older toolchain to get the ROM to even build. I'm not quite happy with it. The AnTuTu score was pretty low, in the 21570 range IIRC. Though I don't put much stock in those scores, I do know some people swear by them and I think a drop like that would be a turn off.

There are some quirks that I don't care for that have popped up. I want to use this build some more before I drop it all on y'all. I may even do another re-sync and rebuild.

Better to have something quality out there rather than just have a new build just for updates sake. Seems like folks are pretty satisfied with the last build, so if it ain't broke don't fix it, right? :silly:

More news later.
