Re the F2FS thing: Not going to happen for the TF701. I have it on @sdbags' authority that the 701 bootloader interprets an F2FS partition as a bad one--and tries to format it to ext4 to repair it. Anyway that is as much of his explanation as I can understand. He goes on to say that he and @lj50036 together could not come up with a workaround, and if those two can't do it all the gods together would have a time of it. Unless of course we can manage to steal the bootloader source code, but I suspect it would be easier to steal Fort Knox. All of it.

NEW BUILD UP!

I apologize for the delay folks. Took some time off to finish moving into the new house, took some family time, updated and refreshed the build-box. Took a step back with fresh eyes to see why my builds were being borked with the new changes and tool-chains being used by TeamBliss. Got that all sorted out and was finally able to push out a build again with the updated tool-chains. I could have continued to use the older tool-chains but the performance was crap! The AnTuTu score with the old tool-chain was 21570 while the new score was 34956. I'd say that was a difference worth waiting for.

Anyhoo, we're back in the saddle again. :cowboy:

Hi. Would anyone give feedback on battery life with this rom. Does it worth to unlock the bootloader? I have managed to root my device without bootloader unlock, so atm I am stuck with the stock.

I'm running build 3.8 (4 Aug) and have been extraordinarily happy with it. One issue, the OTA won't download. Error code says "URL error see your dev". Should I just pull it down manually and flash it?

Thanks for this wonderful ROM!

The OTA isn't functional since we are not official. It is something I hope to have in the future.
Actually, I can't find an update anywhere. The ROM in the link is the same version I'm running from 4 Aug and I can't find a patch anywhere... Need a bit of help

Got 3.9 to compile. Resync'ed my device sources and edited a few files. We have Dock Battery support now. (I don't have a dock so I can't test it, lemme know.)

Stagefright vulnerabilities should be all patched now. (Download Stagefright Dector to check yours.)

I'm going to run 3.9 for a bit to see if there are any issues, should have the update for y'all Thursday evening (US EST) or early Friday.

NEW BUILD UP!

Ok, 3.9 is running smoothly. Video is smooth, audio is crisp. Apps are buttery. So far so good.

Dock Battery Icon is present. I don't have a dock so all I get is a persistent question mark. Those of you with docks, lemme know.

We should be all patched for the stagefright vulnerability now as well too. Last file was taken care with the last round of syncs.

Have Fun!

Hello Sonja,
Thank you for the new build, it's working really well.
However the dock battery support isn't perfect. Selecting icon portrait and icon landscape the percentage values can't be read when the batteries are full maybe because they are displayed in the same white colour as the background. Selecting circle and circle dotted only the tablet battery is displayed inside the left circle, the right circle is empty. If I select "Next to the icon" in "Percentage text position" only the dock battery percentage is displayed, not the tablet battery percentage. Same thing happens if I select "Text" in "Indicator" (my personal favorite).
Anyway, congratulations for your great work. Always waiting for your new builds.

Sonja,
3.9 runs GREAT!
Without the dock; i get my normal "dotted" battery circle which shows the approximate battery life remaining, right now it's about a 1/4 of the circle dimmed (70% according to my 3rd party battery widget). The second circle is solid with a ? mark, additionally the % text reads 0%. So far I can't find anything in the options to change it. Really not a deal breaker by any means.

With my Dock; I am freakin out but it seems to be working really well
I am gonna throw it against the wall a couple times because i don't remember ever saying that before:eek:
The solid battery circle changed to a "dotted" circle like the main indicator. The text % is reading the dock battery & I don't get the continuous messages in the Status Bar about the dock connecting & disconnecting.

All & all & so far i gotta say WOW! thanks for all your work! :good::good::good:

A big thank you to «SonjaMichelle» for implantation of Android 5 on the TF701t.
I've just deploy BlissPop v3.9. This version is a real treat. In previous v3.7, I encountered some intrusives windows on each system call, but everything was already working fine.
There is now a battery level icon when plugged to the dock (this new icon is underlined next to the tablet battery icon). Smashing!
However, I still have a problem with the screen rotation:
- In "auto-rotation" mode, there is no trouble a all.
- By cons, it is impossible to force the screen in "portrait" mode.
=> If the "auto-rotation" mode is disabled, the display always returns in "landscape" mode.
Has anyone of you ever encountered this point?

UPDATED BUILD UP!

This is an optional build. I recompiled with some different optimization flags and was able to eeek out some more performance, as far as AnTuTu was concerned that is, over the last build.

No major changes in this build other than the compile optimizations.

Instant FC after ROM flashing

Dear Sonja, thanks for porting of Android 5.1 to Tf701t!
I tried to install this ROM but I have problems.
I´m comming from CROMi 7.1r2 ROM with bootloader 11.4.1.29. With TWRP 2.8.70.
I have done full wipe (factory reset) than flashed BlissPop-v3.9-tf701t-UNOFFICIAL-20150830-1700.zip and than cm-gapps-5.1-2015-05-23-24.zip via TWRP and than I'v done restart. After system start up I'm getting instant System UI's force closes. First time I was able to choose language and wifi network, but tried to repeat flashing process ending of instant FCs of System UI.

Any Idea on solution?

Sounds like you're only doing a factory reset and not a full wipe. So System, Cache and Dalvik are still intact.

Go into TWRP, select wipe, advanced. check System, Dalvik and Cache. Then swipe to wipe. Then do your install. If you want a FULL clean install you probably want to select Data too. This will ERASE all your current Apps. So you would have to fully install everything again. Seeing that you are coming from CROMi 7.1 this is probably your best option. Going from KitKat to Lollipop is a major change so many things would benefit from a full clean out.

Hi Sonia, thanks for quick reply. I´v tried to do what you´v suggested before and now but I think the problem is with TWRP. I have probles with mounting of /cache /system /data partitions. Sometimes It works sometimes not and even when everything seemed to work fine and no error message is shown during wipe. After installation a reboot again massive FCs. I have also searched on TWRPs forums and there are some problems with mounting of partitions described but no real solution.
I will try to flash another recovery (CWM) and see whether these problems will persist.

NEW BUILD UP!

This one is a few days old. I've been running it on my tablet to test it. There's been some funkiness to the latest builds. CM broke some stuff upstream with the new 4.0 sources. They build but they don't boot correctly.

This build has been working pretty steady for the past five days with no issues so I feel confident in uploading it for y'all so we can get a 4.0 version out there.

I've refreshed with pershoot's latest device and kernel trees today so we'll see what goodies we have going forward in future builds.

Have at it y'all.

New build is working great. The only issue is that the Play Store was refusing to work showing a no internet conection warning. I flashed latest TK Gapps as suggested in the OnePlus One forum and everything went back to normal.
Latest pershoot's kernel seems to have included fiops scheduler. Looking forward to testing it in future builds. And let's hope that you can fix the battery levels in the status bar when they are displayed as text.

Has a similar issue with Play Store.
I cleared data for it and Play Services and all back to normal

Outside of that everything working fine so far.
