Hey, guys. I just can't start Socialife. It says that I have to update it. But I am not able to. I found this apk in internet and it replaced the old one, but it is not working as well. Please, help me out. What should I do or where I can find the proper socialife.apk (the link of the first page is dead as you may know)?

NO. Just flash it via CWM. no need to wipe anything. If you do that, you lost the ROM.
it got stuck on the "galaxy note GT-N7000 screen" :( thanks for the help anyways.. :) i flashed d stock rom back :|

or would the rom be getting installed, with the display still being the 'galaxy note GT-N7000' screen?? it was stuck like for 5 minutes or so.. :silly:

Take other stock rom first like Aryamod rom. Full wipe flash. and proceed until you can use to call or send some message.
And after that, try flash this rom, also full wipe. and see if it proceed to bootloader. Just try what I suggesting. I do experience the same thing at first moment I root my note. Not long time ago. Ah~~ Time flies so fast...

*or maybe you need to flash bootloader unlock via odin mobile. OR maybe not.

Which build is better? Build 1(LSZ) or Build 3(LSC)?

Build 1 is more Xperized than Build 3 (Lockscreen swipe down and Xperia shortcuts, throw feature in Music Player, etc.):good:
On the contrary....Visualizer works well with build 3 (after RAM cache has been cleared...not a huge concern at all :p)

I have both builds...but bit confused what to flash:confused:

Also, is there an Xperia customization pack available that we can flash over other TW ROMs (eg. AryaMOD) which has continuous development for N7000 and would give us the Xperia customization with the smoothness and updatation of the updated ROMs??

Yop.. I had same problems after clean install ... After tapping 5 - 6 times an app was opening.
But Got the things working after following :-
Reboot to Recovery >> Wipe Data / Factory Reset >> Wipe Cache >> Wipe Dalwik Cache >> Reboot System..
By the way Amnix thanks for this lovely Rom...
Edit :- Problem still persist after 1 or 2 days .. again launcher became laggy .. nothing happens after tapping app icon..Switched to Halo Launcher for the moment... Can some one give solution abt this? Can switching to other kernel solve this??

Thanks
Avi Tandel ( Note 1 with Xperia Z ized Rom )
you have to use another launcher to avoid this problem like nova launcher, go launcher , if you want to use xperia launcher try opening app from the left upper corner of any app icon you want to open it works for me. i use the touchwiz launcher it works fine and unlock via home button not goes to home screen it opens where u were on last app . :)

HELP

I have gone through all the post and couldn't find the answer, please forgive if my question was already answered somewhere as I couldn't find it. So here goes. I was trying to change the lockscreen wallpaper through album (coz I know default changer is problematic, already copied the wallpaper folder from root data and apply changes through album). Now after applying the wallpaper in the lockscreen did not change ( I'm using swipe lockscreen security) instead when I swipe down to unlock, my applied wallpaper appears for a moment before turning into the homescreen wallpaper. My question is, HOW do I remove the applied wallpaper? Please advice, I really will appreciate. Thanx:angel:

Just installed today with the new JB Kernel "Forest-HelloWorld-Make-II kernel for JB N7000 " and just great...all working smoth and no fc for now. ..
I tried flashing the kernel, it causes my Note to lose Root (solved by reinstalling SuperSU) but each time I go to recovery mode to reboot after back ups it will say ".....may flash stock *something*...(Sorry I forgot).." and the choice is
No...
No...
Disable Flash recovery...
No...
No...

Like that. I'm currently using Using Speedmod JB kernel 5.5 for the price of bootload animation, but loading speeds up by 66.66%:good:

Dear All, Posters, Devs

I would like to ask for the CORRECT and efficient way of restoring backup of this rom. Because each time I flash a new ROM and would like to rollback to this ROM, I'll surely get a bootloop. Someone in this thread previously advised to tick "include preload" in misc. nandroid settings which I did, and yet it still got bootlooped.:crying:

To those who might be interested, what I did to restore was to always have a fresh copy of PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSZ-OXA-4.93.6-signed, the ROM itself, a Backed Up ROM (of this ROM of course) and:
1. Reboot to recovery
2. Flash PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSZ-OXA-4.93.6-signed. reboot again to RECOVERY (NOT system)
3. Do a clean factory reset, all wipes.
4. Flash the ROM.
5. Go to Advanced restore, choose the back up.zip and choose: restore data, restore cache.
6. Wipe dalvik cache.
7. Reboot System Now and let it roll. Indications of successful installation was after about 3 min, your menu and back button lights up and a screen saying "Android is upgrading 0 out of XXX". IF you get that screen, It's a Success! Your phone will boot up with the latest backed up config and apps. IF your Home and Back Button do not light up after 3 to 5 min, it's 100% Bootloop and you have to retry Flashing. Don't bother waiting hopefully it will load coz IT WON'T.

This method WORKS IF you did not flash any other kernels just using the default integrated CWM and Kernel of the ROM. I like to combine this ROM with speedmod kernel jb5.5 for a quick boot (66.66% faster than default/other kernel) BUT, IF ever I try to restore my backed up ROM, It will ALWAYS bootloop. Btw, CWM that comes with speedmod kernel does not offer "misc nandroid backup" like philz. So I tried to flash PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSZ-OXA-4.93.6-signed again, make sure "include preload' is ticked and then restore, but still the same things happened. Midway of restoration a saying "could not detect preload backup/No image, skipping restore of preload (Something like that I think). Also, sometimes it says MDSUM5 wrong, cancelling restoration. GOD this drives me crazy!

Please, If anybody will be kind enough to make a guide to solve all this? On behalf of others experiencing this problem, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Lastly, I'm SORRY if this post does not belong here. I ALREADY read all the posts in 64 pages in this thread and still could not find a solution so Please instead of pointing "Go to Post, bla bla bla" just provide an answer. THANKSSSSSSSS:victory:

Hit Thanks Button if this post was helpful in anyway please.

Just Philz's recovery that supports backing up /preload, where most of system apps are symlinked to, I believe and that's what u did wrong when using cwm on speedmod to back up so I guess u know what to do now to backup and restore the ROM then (use ur head wisely)

I know that after reading my screen carefully during restoring process of my backed up data in when I'm on Speedmod's CWM, What I did now was to make clean backup file ( Using the ORIGINAL philz recovery of the ROM itself) then I flashed speedmod. Whenever I want to try and restore after flashing a new rom, what I did was to flash SAME philz CWM as I described above, reboot to recovery then I restore my clean backed up file, BUT the screen will say MD5 sum is wrong. FYI I did use my head wisely after lots of trial and error, but first shouldn't u use your eyes wisely to read and learn?? I read and read and read carefully as I wouldn't want to ask a ridiculously stupid question here and one wrong step n you can brick your device resulting in MORE readings to repair the device itself not to mention possibility of money spent for the repairs especially if you're not a tech wiz, just like me. Thx for the reply anyway:cyclops:

Hmmm thats weird, have u tried this: on every backup/restore, flash philz kernel and use the option custom backup/restore to do the job (remember to include /preload backup option) then after that flash the speedmod again.

Hah and I just thought u might found some sarcasm in my posts but idk if I did include sarcasm or not hoho. Just I am kind of a extreme DIY fan (even when I still dont know, try more and more and avoid asking at most lol) so sometimes I feel sick of multiple thread posts (not u, of course) or silly question that if ppl have the right reading and searching skill or a student's mind can solve easily. Even some think since they r member/user that they have the right to be noob and demand for help/answer even when they don't know the codes of being a xda member or even havent read lol.

Anw, just glad u r not one of those I oppose to and if u still stuck even w everything u know, I am pleased to help but still encourage DIY spirit ;).

LoL to be honest, I DID detect that hint of sarcasm. Just that I decided to ignore it and take it as a form of how some people converse. Also because I was too pissed about my problem that I don't have the energy to allocate to another cause. LoL. Anyway after about 8 more tiring and frustrating experiments of restoring. I FINAAAAAAAAALLY got a solution. It turns out that I have to flash a philz cwm first, THEN make the f**k*ng backup with the preloads included, then when I want to restore it, flash the philz cwm again, THEN hit restore. I dunno why, I've already checked and download the EXACT version of the integrated philz cwm of this ROM but it turns out to have a different md5 sum than that of my downloaded philz cwm. THIS was what caused the recovery screen to say "md5 sum error" everytime I flashed philz over speedmod when want to restore or after flashing any new custom roms with different cwm.

And Yes. I'm actually a DIY hardcore too, it's just that I try to grasp every possible knowledge before executing as I stated above, the risk is tooooooo high to try and dive without knowing anything;). Did u know I reread ALL 64 pages of this thread about 4-5 times b4 giving up and post my plea for help? LoL

Anyway this matter is CLOSED. As I have already troubled you, may I trouble you a bit more? I have a bit of problem when I tried to change lockscreen wallpaper. And when I chose wrongly, my chosen wallpaper became a "mid-screen" that appears when you swipe to unlock the lockscreen, and with NO way to remove it. That drives me nuts! Lastly, flashed the clearaudio+, found the control of the handsfree to be faulty, removed the clearaudio+equalizer from preload/sys blalbla, headset.so from lib/app blablabla... and the control works again. The question is, Does the mod still works? Coz I can't open the clearaudio+ menu again. Geezz..

Anyway Thanx again for taking your time in reading. I like to elaborate as much detail as possible to the point of boredom. LOL

I think Xperia Mods don't work 100% properly on other devices than xperia(s) due to lack of hardware support (maybe they can adapt w the software but will have some hardware issue) and for the lockscreen, are u using xperia lockscreen or stock sammy? I used this rom once and I know that changing wallpaper for xperia lockscreen mod acts weirdo tho (as I ported 3 Xperia ROMs for 2 different sammy devices b4 that I know this). My guess is the lockscreen mod affect the changing wallpaper somehow :).

Hai It's me again.. Just wanna say the problem is NOT solved.. I still get md5 checksum error when ever I tried to restore my backup. But something strange happened.. I flashed Sweetrom 2 days ago using Philz-cwm-xxlt5-oxx-5.03.0-signed.zip (The same CWM I used to make my backup), after playing it for a whole day, decided to restore to this rom and FUNNY thing is.....It worked! Dunno why maybe had something to do with sweetrom??? Anyway will still be flashing more roms and experiment to know the exact cause and solution to this problem (Might come fussing here again if that fails, lol)

I don't really care about the wallpaper though. Let it just be like that. What I do change frequently is the lockscreen wallpaper. I use settings/lockscreen/wallpaper change to change it but sometimes if I scroll too fast then it won't change to what I selected so have to scroll Sloooooowwwwwly...one...by one.....to my desired wallpaper before hitting select button.
