Run the appropriate RUU for your device if it's available
If this didn't fix it then you may have a hardware issue

Sent from my HTC M8 using XDA Labs

So I don't get this but I removed my sim card and everything works fine now. No boot loops. I wish I thought of this before I wiped my install. I am using a Telus M8 unlocked, rooted, S-OFF on the Bell network. What is causing this? I guess it'll work for a while until I have to pull the sim again and get it working but what the hell?

That's Canada yes? It's a known issue for nougat ROMs and Canadian carriers.

This is news to me I've been out of the loop :p

I'm just curious as to what exactly makes canadian carriers affect the roms this way?

Not sure, but I found a working nougat rom for canadian sim users like me and you! PM me if you want more info on this because I don't want to disrespect the OP by advertising another rom on his discussion page.

crDroid v2.1 is Up!

crDroid v2.1 for m8 & m8d is live and ready to go! Per our dev, neobuddy89:

2.1 will start rolling out for all supported devices in coming days!

New highlights:
* Fix high drain with ambient display on.
* Ambient display customizations are back.
* QS Header images customization.
* Wakelock blocker (experimental)
* Lava lamp color customization for smart bar / pulse
* New ambient / lift to wake tile.
* Charging sounds customization
* One handed mode UI with toggle
* Smartbar double tap to sleep
* Gestures for few supported devices
* Blur lockscreen, if supported by LineageOS on your device.
* And lots of fixes

Cheers!

As always, download link & instructions are in the OP. Dirty flash should be OK if you're on v1.8 or later. Clean flash from any prior build and always clean flash before reporting any problems. Enjoy! :cool:

Thank you for this AWESOME ROM, by far my favorite. I wanted the OMS support and you got it. On version 2.0, I had it running great with AA_m8_11302016 kernel (TEAM M8), and it was incredible.
Once I saw the 2.1 version, I went ahead and did a full clean flash. I did get an odd issue, and I don't think it's related to the ROM, but I clean flashed it now 3 times.

I am able to boot it up and use it perfectly fine, but my network service is gone. Cellular Data is enabled (but no signal), and I am only able to do Emergency Calling.
In order to get my network back, I need to go through this menu after every reboot.
This is happening before I flash anything else (just ROM and GAPPs)

I'm not sure how to get the network to activate itself after rebooting. I use T-mobile and the same HTC M8 phone for years.

OK that's one, possibly two without data. I'll have our devs take a look.

Guys, be sure to make a backup before flashing in case this is a device wide issue.

crDroid v2.1 for m8 & m8d is live and ready to go!

Thanks for another great release.
The most obvious change that I notice (not yet go thru all the changes, flashed the updated ROM in the morning, now back at home .. to see what are the changes ...

1. I like the location tile (better than before where we have to long press to make changes), now single tap will do.
1.jpg 2.jpg

2. For those with FC when going to settings - battery - battery saver & performance, now this is fixed. In previous released I fixed it by using the 1.8 version apk.
3.jpg

3. Better network signal for me ... no more signal drop. No need to go to usage - cellular network to get better signal after reboot.

@hokiealumnus please update thread title once you upload new build on https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=44012

*Note: Currently I see v2.1 as latest but your thread name confuses me
Done.

And now .. bug report.

1. Settings - crDroid settings - select quick settings - it doesn't get to the items but goes back to Settings. Silent FC I guess.

2. LiveDisplay tile is missing after a reboot
1. Does it happen on a clean install? It doesn't happen on my device, FWIW. I suspect you're already on a clean install, and if so please repeat and supply a log. I'll bring it to the devs.

2. Confirmed. Re-reporting.

Totally forgot to update yesterday. It is fine with clean install.. shouldn't make a report before testing it on a clean install.

Great! One less issue to be concerned with. Thanks. :)

The LiveDisplay thing is being worked on. It's a LOS problem but our devs may have fixed it. Will test soon, and if good it will be in the next release.
