Installed latest build and the 2 calculators were fixed! Thanks! :) Just tried to install Netflix, and it seems Netflix won't show up in the Play Store in the ROM anymore. Netflix just changed to requiring SafetyNet to pass to download:
https://www.extremetech.com/mobile/...ger-available-rooted-unlocked-android-devices

I used my Nexus 4 as a remote to cast netflix shows to my Roku. Now that even Netflix App is requiring ROM to pass SafetyNet, maybe it's time to work on making the ROM pass Basic/CTS SafetyNet API... Currently a bunch of popular apps are in this boat (FE Heros, Mario, Netflix). Netflix being the biggest one so far. U can still download and run it off APKMirrior, but I doubt updates will work through the playstore.

Be good to get this ROM passing Basic/CTS SafetyNet API. I assume a custom kernel hiding the bootloader unlock status (Bypasses the verified boot flag like in francokernel on other phones), and some work on the ROM will be needed.

LineageOS for Mako was discontinued (maybe temporarily) because the kernel was not getting updated with the latest security patches. What is the status of the kernel in SAOSP, as far as security patches/updates are concerend?

Download and flash the latest Factory Image from Google ie. 5.1.1 from adb. This will erase all the partitions with internal storage too so make a backup of your important files. Maybe you can flash it via twrp too. Wugfresh Nexus toolkit can help you with all the processes. Also update twrp to the latest version of you haven't already. Then you can go on wipe system, cache, data, dalvik (or factory reset) the phone from twrp and flash your rom.
A pretty good custom kernel for Nougat is Quanta v21. Smooth and good battery life (as good as it can be with such an old battery ?)

By the way if you are on marshmallow and have installed that lollipop version in the past manually or automatically from the ota updates of Google you may not need to flash the image at all as you already have latest radio and bootloader.

Mako support was stopped long ago. You can have the security patches inside rom but kernel isn't being updated. It's mako that we're talking about. Google stopped pushing updates. Now all we can do is porting Nougat and make sure that things don't break
