Ok guys, here it is. There are now official CM12 CM13.0 Nightlies for our Nexus 10.

cyanogen-logo-lollipop.jpg

General Info:
CyanogenMod is a free and open source Android distribution that currently supports the Nexus 10.
Detailed information can be found at our wiki
Nexus 10 Specific Info:
Nexus 10 specific install instructions, links to source, and other information can be found on the Nexus 10 CyanogenMod wiki page here.
Who to follow:
To keep up with the latest in development checkout:
CyanogenMod Google+ Community
CyanogenMod Google+
What to Install:
CyanogenMod has several release types: Stable, M series, and Nightlies.
End users are encouraged to installed either the Stable releases or the M series.
Stable releases are not regularly released and are on a "when it is done" basis. The M series are released roughly monthly and are generally stable enough for a daily driver, particularly for Nexus devices.

Nightly builds are part of our automated build system intended to help developers test their code. At any given time there *will* be bugs in the nightly builds. New code is first submitted for peer review at the CyanogenMod gerrit. Because CyanogenMod supports a wide variety of devices, only so many issues can be efficiently caught in the review stage. Once the code is accepted it is then tested on a wider scale in the nightly builds. Since the nightly builds contain such new code, they are not intended for end users.
Reporting Bugs:
Bugs for M series releases should be reported using the CyanogenMod Jira Tracker
Bugs only found in the nightly builds should not be reported in Jira and can be discussed here. In particular, it would be best to keep mostly bug discussion specific to the Nexus 10 in this thread.
Features

  • All what CM has inside;)
  • Translucent Decor
  • BETA-SuperSU-v2.66 (no need - you can set in in developer menu)

error during flash nightly zip

Today I tried to install the first CM12 nightly released (cm-12-20150108-NIGHTLY-manta.zip ) and the result is .... error during flash zip from recovery (I tried both with CWM and TWRP but same result).
Someone managed to install it, or had the same my problem?
I'll wait for the next nightly to try again and see if the problem is the corrupt zip.
Thanks to those who give me feedback.

and this GApps https://s.basketbuild.com/gapps

Make sure /system is unmounted before flashing, just /data and /cache should be mounted. If so, check your md5s. Always check your md5s! ;)

Does the latest CM12 build have expanded desktop?

I don't think so, at least the ROM I'm using on hammerhead, which is based on the 1/07 CM12 nightly, does not. Soon hopefully.

How can I change the cyanogen boot animation to the official lollipop one?

Download a good lollipop boot animation, place the file in the correct spot w/ root and set permissions. Use this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580642 I personally use /data/local/ so I don't have to backup the old one. Permissions must be rwx r-- r-- . Set in a root browser, like CM's file explorer, or "Root Browser," like I like to use.
@hanspampel and all others, PA gapps fails because CM12 stuffs the /system partition to its limit for some stupid reason (it's ridiculous, I use a ROM on the N5 that has a lot more features and options than CM12, yet has almost 500MB free in /system, but I digress :p). I like to use PA Stock, but you can't use anything more than PA nano or pico with CM12. Micro "might" work, but I don't know. You need to leave room for updates and such, and I think PA micro left me with 32B (yes, BYTES!) free on manta with unofficial 01/03. Adaway failed to install host files, so I reflashed. :D Might I recommend banks gapps? http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=banks&device=gapps

Thanks, could it be done automatically?, I don't like digging in the system files

Installed also yesterday without any problems. First boot takes looong and do you also have that the cm boot animation is very very slow in comparison to a phone?
Until now I am happy and waiting for the upcoming cm features.

Hi hanspampel
Is this Rom compiled by you? Does translucent decor exists in cm12 or is something you added?

Hi Guys,
Currently I am on Khaon ROM/Kernel which is based on cm12 with f2fs /cache and /data.
Do official CM12 nightlies support f2fs ? can I install this ROM whithout wiping my /data ?
I can see in their latest nightly they have a commit related to f2fs :
sr: Allow mounting of F2FS volumes : http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/84604/
Also does this ROM have miscellaneous battery drain bug ?

Reinstall GApps every update

Is normal to have to reinstall GApps every CM 12 Nightlies updates to avoid serveral FCs?
Am I doing something wrong?

Updating other ROMs I don't remember having to reinstall GApps every time.

Thanks.

I'm having the same trouble, glad it's not just me.

Also, is anyone else having trouble with the system update not picking up any new builds?

CM 12 OTA Updates are not working; it´s a known bug.

You can use Cyandelta app as alternative.
Indeed, is even better because it only need to download a few MBytes from Nightly to Nightly.

Anyway, thanks for confirm the problem.

Charging issue confirmed resolved for me on today's nightly https://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/178248/cm-13.0-20160909-NIGHTLY-manta.zip

I think everyone got antsy because there wasn't any acknowledgement communication from the Cyanogenmod team of the issue in the JIRA, so it appeared like it was in limbo. It was having a large impact, people were buying new batteries for their devices thinking they went bad. I too almost bought a new tablet the day it happened for that same reason. Anyway, we're glad it's now resolved, and we thank the devs for the continued support of this ROM for our manta devices.

I see your point however jira updates get emailed to assignees too. I could have been more detailed in my earlier comment where i mentioned the fix i proposed to cyan devs, it was forwarded to the right people relative quickly.
I see now that my proposed fix was merged and i presume tested so charging should work again on next build

    I solved my problem

    First try:
    - I copied CM13 snapshot (20160316) + OpenGapps Pico 20160315
    - I installed CM13 snapshot
    - I installed OpenGapps Pico

After the installation the CM13 Setup Wizard started. The wizard doesn't offer me to restore a previous Android 6 backup.

    Second try:
    - I copied CM13 snapshot (20160316) + OpenGapps Pico 20160315
    - I copied a gapps-config.txt file with "CMSetupWizard" text inside (without quotes) in the same folder of CM13 and Gapps zips
    - I installed CM13 snapshot
    - I installed OpenGapps Pico

Now I have the Google Setup Wizard that started without errors.

With CM13 Snapshot/Nightly + latest OpenGapps Pico I have 88 apps to optimize after first boot.
With CM13 Snapshot + 20160315 OpenGapps Pico I have 90 apps to optimize after first boot.
With CM13 Snapshot + 20160315 OpenGapps Pico I have 89 apps to optimize after first boot.

So I think that with latest OpenGapps CM13 lose some important application (the installer removes the CMSetupWizard but it doesn't install the Google Setup Wizard?) but older OpenGapps without gapps-config doesn't allow to restore an Android 6 backup.

PS: I'm sorry for my bad english.

20160315 OpenGapps Pico file is available here:

I figured if I change to a completely different rom that it will solve the issue. After I made a clean flash to latest omni rom it was fine. After first update, it has the same problem again. Now I wonder if it's the rom or twrp.
It's twrp 3.0, definitely. Using twrp 3.0 flashing nightlies/ROMs (updates!) crashs permissions of (all) system apps (like gapps, ...) not being flashed together with nightlies/ROMs this time. -> Device is unusable!

The solution in my case was/is using twrp 2.8.7.0 with my Manta and Grouper devices: all is fine flashing nightlies every day.
I had to restore a backup from april 13. Since april 15 every nightly and snapshots are totally unusable.
    Flashed with TWRP 3.0.0.0
