For everyone having problems with the audio jack , I suggest you to flash the lineage os kernel. For me the problem has completely gone after the flash. Here is the kernel, I found the suggestion on one of the last posts on official resurrection remix thread :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72228608&postcount=245

Whatever that is, it's not the official Lineage OS kernel since that's what my RR build is using.

Any news about the camera software porting?

No.

It's the unofficial one I think, for me with that one headphones jack is working 100% the times . I found that posted on the official resurrection remix thread , in one of the last posts

There's an official RR for manta now? So why am I still doing the unofficial builds here? That doesn't make sense.

I spent basically all of last weekend on updating the LineageOS manta kernel to the 2017-07-05 security level. So I'm still working on the manta RR builds, just "under the hood".

I guess it's time to stop this here as long as official builds are available and just work on the LineageOS stuff instead. That's more useful to everyone in the long run.

Any thoughts?

Is this the official one? https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-10/development/rom-resurrection-remix-v5-8-2-
But it hasn't been updated from 15/04 . I just wanted to help... Your work is really great, and whichever decision you choose to go, I will follow. For me I prefer resurrection remix instead of lineage os , but in the long run maybe it would be the best decision

Your link is incomplete. If you meant this one, then yes, that's apparently the official one.

But it hasn't been updated from 15/04.

AFAICS the last build is from 2017-05-15 (wrong URL in the OP, this is the right one). But, yeah, it's not overly fresh in terms of security updates...

You got me wrong. It's not the decision to use RR or LOS, especially since there's no official weekly LOS 14.1 build for manta yet.

When I work on the LOS manta device tree, this will ultimately help RR because RR is basically LOS with lots of sugar on top. I like RR myself, but if there's an official version, it's kind of moot to have another, unoffical version, isn't it? Time probably better spent working on the LOS low-level stuff.

On the other hand, if the official RR doesn't update to fix security issues... oh well.

I'm planning to update RR in the next couple of days. But there's a problem.

As many of you probably noticed, Magisk has been updated from 12.0 to 13.2, the MagiskManager app from version 4.3.3 to (as of today) 5.0.6.

When building RR with Magisk 13.2/MagiskManager 5.0.6, the update from 12.0/4.3.3 is NOT flawless.

There's a good chance the update will give broken results like "Invalid response" checking SafetyNet and other weird effects.

Therefore:

Everybody, update to MagiskManager 5.0.6 manually. Then use MagiskManager 5.0.6 to update to Magisk 13.2.

Only then update to the upcoming RR version which I'll upload in a couple of days.

Alternatively I will build RR in future without pre-installed Magisk, so every user decides it by him- or herself.
Do we need a poll?

Corinna

P.S.: Today a change in SafetyNet appears to have broken the SafetyNet check again. Reports indicate not only Magisk users are affected. Nothing I can do about, please keep discussions on the Magisk threads.

Thanks, after first flash my system wouldn't boot so I flashed it a second time and then it booted. Strange. Now my google services dont work. Tried to reflash Gapps Pico again but it didn't help. Maybe I have some time after work to look at it again and/or provide proper logs.

Edit: ok, I got it. All my permissions have been resetted. After granting them most apps worked again. Some I had to reinstall like gmail or youtube. Even deleting data didn't work for them, just a reinstall. Otherwise the ROM works great so far! Headphones are also working again.

off the coast o the kontiki!
You can download a compressed tar file from https://android.googlesource.com/pl...e9d8161c64940bae4b555b53fc349d873b1dc8.tar.gz
Unpack this archive and find file fw_bcm4324.bin at directory /bcmdhd/firmware/bcm4324/

---------- Post added at 12:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:05 AM ----------

Ok, I stored version 6.10.197.41.7 of fw_bcm4324.bin at https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B9mPoYCd7pxXMnZ1RDV4MU5oVTA?usp=sharing
Copy this file to your Nexus 10 to /system/vendor/firmware/fw_bcmdhd.bin
So I downloaded this bin from drive
Do I have to delete any files first, or just copy it to system/vendor/firmware? I tried in twrp & when I clicked on system there was nothing there. Thank you

Can I disable the spectrum graph in the Navbar when using Youtube?
Just found that it can be disabled via Setting -> Configurations -> Navbar -> Pulse

You have to mount the system partition first, using "mount" in TWRP.
Then just copy to /system/vendor/firmware.

Anyone having issues with the Marshmallow flavor of this ROM?
I've done numerous wipes and reinstalls, but keep having the same issue of constant launcher Force Close errors :(

Resurrection Remix 5.8.4 20170816

Update to the latest RR 5.8.4, as well as the latest Android patchlevel 2017-08-05.

Note: I had some trouble with the Magisk updater in this build. If you install this version from scratch, you may end up without Magisk at all. In that case, just install Magisk standalone afterwards.

Have fun,
Corinna

Rom works fine for me. Wifi seems stable for me out of the box (downloaded 4 amazon series episodes with screen off).

Thanks for keeping the Nexus 10 alive! It may be a littlebit sluggish in modern apps, but for me its still the best Android tablet so far. Which is a shame nearly 5 years after release if you think about it...

@cvxda - nice work! 10x a lot for this stable rom. I use it more than a month w/o any issues
But could you please explain how to apply OTA update? I can only download zip from notification for rom update - should i just flash it?

Yes sadly is a shame... I had to downgrade from nexus 7 2013 ,the only other good tablet in existence with the nexus 9 (nexus 7 2012 is too slow these days) ,because nexus 7 2013 has touchscreen hardware engineering problems. I had to trash one , and the second I bought used for 100 € had the same problem . Luckily I had 2 months of warranty left, so after 3 display changed ,and 3 times RMA to Asus ,and a war via mail with they're support team (I'm a technician with a phone repair shop ) ,they proposed me 60€, but I started to fight and told them I know that they're engineering team failed to project the touch and that 60€ is not enough to get a new tablet... I won the battle and they refund me 199€
Due to the cost of a used nexus 9 and the problems that are known about this tablet I decided to buy a used nexus 10 for 80€ . I can't regret , this tablet is not perfect, but it's one of the best I tried

Thanks Corinna, just updated front 5.7.4 to 5.8.4, everything just great (except camera, of course), and one force close in settings-configuration-quick settings-tile animation. Is it just me?...

Thanks again, outstanding work!

I just started with this ROM (5.8.4). Followed the given instructions. Made a complete factory reset / full wipe. Installation of ROM didn't make problems but it's impossible to install the gapps (nano). The error is INSUFFICIENT SPACE ON SYSTEM!
Any ideas what can be done here?

You need to resize system partition after flashing the rom and before flashing gapps nano package. For resizing system partition flash Update.ZIP_manta_resize2fs_system.zip, credits to @followmsi

Built from stock RR github repo.

You need an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery installed
    • I suggest to update to TWRP-3.1.0-0 or later.
    • If you use TWRP-3.0.2-0, you have to reinstall (pico) GApps every time after you installed the new ROM.

    How to install:
    • Enter recovery mode
    • Factory reset
    • Flash below ROM
    • Optionally flash Gapps. I suggest the pico OpenGapps package due to space constraints of the system partition
    • Reboot
    • Enjoy
    • Starting with version 5.7.0 OTA updates are supported (see screenshots)

    Download from:

    ROM OS RR 5.8.5:

    ResurrectionRemix 5.8.5 20180413

    New release for manta.

Heads up: Given that the RR team decided to abandon the nougat branch completely, I pulled in the April ASB patches myself.

For those of you keeping track of the sources, I pushed everything to github. Just replace the RR platform manifest with https://github.com/github-cygwin/rr_platform_manifest.git and run `repo sync --force-sync'. This replaces some repositories with the LineageOS version, and some repositories with the versions from https://github.com/github-cygwin/ (all of them start with "rr_").

    Thanks for all the fish

    Hi guys,

It was a nice time but all things end at one point. You may have noticed a certain absence of mine in the last few weeks. I'm still using the device almost daily, but it took me a while to realize that I just didn't have time to work on manta anymore.

Fortunately there's another thread which even provides Oreo updates, created and maintained by @followmsi:
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-10/development/rom-lineage-14-1-20170216-unofficial-t3557735
I'd like to suggest to switch over to this thread and @followmsi's builds if you didn't already.

    See you around,
    Corinna
