I know this thread is dead and may not even be looked at anymore, but....
I need to factory reset my Evo 4G LTE running MeanBean so I can dispose of it. Can anyone help me out with the proper procedure to follow to accomplish this.
I foolishly tried to do a "Reset phone" from Settings but that didn't do much other than reset my home screens, and left all my data and system partitions intact. I suspect I need to flash the stock ROM back on (though I don't have a copy of that) and then go from there.
This phone has been out of use for the last year and I'm now on a Galaxy S4 (Samsung), so I kinda even forget all the differences between Sammy and HTC. I'd love a little bit of hand holding if anyone were so inclined. :highfive:
Thanks!
ETA - On further browsing, it looks like maybe I should post this over in the Q&A subforum. I initially came here hoping there'd be removal/uninstall instructions specific to this ROM in the OP, which wasn't the case, so I followed up with my request here. But I'll see if I can't find the answer somewhere over there too. Unfortunately, I barely even recall the terminology anymore if it's no longer applicable to Samsung so when someone says "flash the RUU" I'm just like huh?

LOL
