Supposedly the new Google play services released in July. Fixes the battery drain issue.
Of course, I've been playing on a zvd. So each time i mess around. And redo the Rom, play services wants updated.

I have 4.9.13...Is there a manual why to make it update?

Update. Checked my wifes non rooted phone and rom and her it showing the same. It is up to date.

---------- Post added at 02:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:11 PM ----------

My other non rooted g2 are not burning up data like this. I have 1.1 gigs of data racked up on this for 3 days. I came from using about 1 gig a month to using over 3-4 gigs. I can disable it where it only works over wifi, but will not get my emails untill I get wifi.

Prefect ROM besides this issue. Might be a problem with ppl with limited data.

Considering it's happening for you on non-rooted phones as well I would have to say the ROM itself is perfect and that issue is a Google problem... Though I can't understand how that's happening as I'm not seeing this issue at all.

I messed up and just edit the post. My NON rooted phone are NOT having the issues. They are also under a gig a phone right now for the month and my phone is like 3 gigs. Again problem is helped by putting on wifi only. Maybe its just my phone. Maybe I should re install over it as mention with someone else in previous post. Might need little help with that.

I too was having issues with YouTube not starting up and the error in Hangouts. I decided to reinstall Google Play Services on top of my current installation and it fixed the problem! Here's a link to the APK that I used, >>I'm apparently not allowed to post URLS<<

This additionally fixed the hangout problem, and the youtube problem, with out having to rollback to an older youtube APK. good find!

Giving this ROM a try, coming from an AOSP ROM...

Searching through the thread, it looks like some are successfully using Xposed and Gravity Box.

I can't seem to get it to work (xposed installed fine, as did gravity box). I've toggled in on and off and rebooted a few times... Any suggestions or tricks to get it working? Or perhaps an alternate module?

New to this ROM, apologies if this has already been covered.

TIA!

You're the man! This fixed the problem.

Uninstalled YouTube and Hangouts. Installed Google play services from link then re-installed YouTube and hangouts and it fixed the problem. Thank you.

EDIT!

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A PERMANENT FIX BUT IT IS NOT - I AM GETTING THE SAME ERROR ONLY 1 DAY LATER.

Just wanted to say thanks for posting that update (that wasn't really an update, it's identical to what is in rom) to the Play Services and apologize for any extra running around you all had to do on that. After updating with the non-update, it just put Services in Data rather than solely existing in System where we put it from the get go. I have no idea why that would pose a problem but it obviously did.

Thanks for the support folks!

Also, for people having battery drain issue like I was... In recovery advance wipe *ONLY* system and caches so you keep data and storage then re-flash the rom. Completely fixed my battery drain issue.

So how do we fix the issue? i dont understand what you mean by " it just put Services in Data rather than solely existing in System where we put it from the get go."

For me I had to convert play services to a user app. I would reinstall and it would work for a few hours. Once I converted its been rock solid. Now if I could fix my GPS without taking the phone apart I'll be good.

G3 kb is definitely a go. LG did a great job on it. Also redid that HORRIBLE dialer. Its not finished yet, and this is just a rough draft but this is what it will probably look like.

    [ROM][MILESTONE1] SuperG2 Bareback [ZVC][8/5/14]

    SuperG2bareback%20(1)50.png

This is a Optimus/Home free version of our d3rpG2 Rom that has been put on a serious diet. The goal of this was to strip down not only the "regular" bloat but also much of the extras that can be safely removed YET leaving the rom fully functional and d3rp Certified. Yes, the rom really is only 841mb of d3rp!

See the OP for the very long list of what makes this rom series THE ONE to be on and PLEASE thank @youdug for the time spent continuing this kicka$$ rom series! :D Then.... look down below here for a few additional notes about Bareback.

Rom includes Nova launcher (feel free to use any launcher you would like but Nova and Nova Prime are light weight and have tons of features and functionality) as the default, you can restore LG's Home with the zip below.

We have also include the Lucent Remix Icon pack (can be set in Nova settings) with custom walls and AppGetter application for requesting custom app icons by Team d3rp's lovely @vanessaem who makes all things pretty (Including the OP images). You can follow some of V's pretty things in her thread located here >>>>>> [ICON SETS, UCCWs, and More] Themes by vanessaem.

Also thanks are in order for @thoughtlesskyle for the custom walls you'll see featured on the lockscreen and in the d3rp walls app. We like, so you get to enjoy!

Last but not least, our trusty testing crew, @secret.animal, @That_Guy0505, and @lowpro3210 as they made sure everything was in order for both roms and don't even complain about my incessant requests for clean flashes. Lol

things have been slower from us because solver and youdug and me have been dealing with real life time contraining issues, just fyi guys

i think it's almost ready, mrrogers is trying to keep me on track (since i'm the only one of us 3 that's somewhat available)

afaik there's a couple visual bugs only, and i'm trying to figure them out.

once that's done i assume m1 is ready
