still, when editing the file, when I want to add it, it says there are duplicates.
I just get rid of them manually by deleting the files in the archive and then add the file modified and then flash

That's to do with etc/terminfo, if you don't use the terminal at all you can safely delete thet folder without any negative consequences and 7-zip won't complain about duplicates.

Just installed U20_2.6.32.61-nAa-06, now I'm wondering about the differences between the normal package and the latest nightly, as the nightly is from 18th May and the normal package from 14th March.

Is that nightly the way to go?

It will help you :) :

19/ why do i get a kernel version error (installation abort, status 7) while installing MiniCM10? (MiniCM10-4.1.0 up to 20130518-NIGHTLY &nAa06 ; all devices)

change in rom zip to *.61 for kernel version if you want the installation to complete (in META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script) :)

I think you should turn USB Debugging on in Developers Option in the setting.

Google says Kit Kat is optimised to work on even low end devices....
Can we expect it on our device?

Sent from my U20i using xda app-developers app

We were not able to migrate to CM10.1 (JB 4.2.x) due to missing drivers (I believe it was only missing wifi drivers, but @nobodyAtall or @matmutant can confirm it).
So, for now it is not possible!

@afi1982 and @pilu1978 are working on last nAa kernel trying to fix last issues existing and also integrating new stuffs.
Only after confirmation that all drivers are implemented from sources and working we can start thinking if it can be possible to have it for our device.... But do not expect too much because X10 Mini, X10 MiniPro and X8 have small RAM (128 mb) and are SEMC devices from 2010!

Will see... ;)

+ nAa has no time anymore for any dev stuff ...

i'm now thinking about changing my baby, maybe a Moto G if it will ever be available? or a Wiko device ... (but is their a good community for these devices as we were here?)

Ram would not be an issue, we can use a partions from sdcard for ram as we use for internal memory.
Bigger problem nAa being not available.

As far as wifi driver for wl12xx is concerned

If you need the latest version, it can be downloaded from:

git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/luca/wl12xx.git

The latest stable version can be found in Linus' Linux tree.

Firmware

The firmware for WL12xx chipset is available under the Linux firmware license on git tree at:

git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git

Using compat-wireless the wl12xx driver and its dependencies can be compiled for kernels >= 2.6.30.

Read more at : http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/wl12xx

@matmutant: Can you ask @nobodyAtall to give a look :)

Few hacks and interesting reads available here

Ha ha, after reading your signature - you seem to be a nightmare for you devices!
Hopefully Nex5 will be better off. :p

The only one I wished that upon was my BlackBerry, I hate that all the others are gone. I loved my mimmi and my nexus 7, but I'm buying a new display for the 7 soon so I'll have a 7 and a 5. I hope the Nexus 5 lasts too!

MiniCM10 is an unofficial port of CyanogenMod 10 for the SEMC msm7x27 devices. MiniCM10 is running Android Jellybean on top of the 2.6.32 nAa-jb kernel.

    Notes:
    • Your device is not capable for the full-blown JB experience. This is a best effort ROM to support the unsupported. If you don't like it, don't use it and especially don't complain. You have been warned!
    • To cookers: If you want to use parts or all of this ROM for your custom cooks, read this first.
    • To everyone: Please don't mirror this ROM
    • MiniCM10 is built for the X8 / x10mini / x10minipro range. It is quite stable and the most feature-complete JB ROM
    • This is a team work developed by DaRk_dOg and me. The following people should also be thanked on sight for their continuous support and testing! matmutant, Heronger, ponanovn, faiyyaz

    CrystalMiniCM10 Theme

CrystalMiniCM10 is a fork of my Crystal2 Theme. It is properly scaled for LDPI/MDPI resolution screens and optimized for MiniCM10, while it has almost all the features of the playstore edition.
The theme will receive regular updates through the MiniCM10 nightlies and is a constant work in progress :)

    Hello community!

I'm very happy to say that MiniCM10-4.0.2 is released today containing the latest and greatest:
    - 4.1.2 Android code
    - CM10 code

There are several enhancements, bug fixes, new features that are into this release. Most importantly, this is the first fully working JB release for the msm7x27 devices. The missing functionality of OMX codecs is finally worked around so that we can enjoy the full potential of this phone (given the Android 2.1 prebuilt libraries that SEMC gave us).

    Changelog for this build:
    ### MiniCM10-4.0.2
    * New unique CrystalMiniCM10 theme (default from now on)
    * New MiniCMUpdater feature for nightlies/releases for auto-updates
    * HW Video encoding / decoding via OMX
    * Camcorder 640x480 (full resolution)
    * Jellybean libaudio from sources (fixes for many audio related issues)
    * Removed SEMC stock keyboard
    * Improved camera performance and responsiveness
    * Improved all around performance and snappiness
    * Latest CM10 release code
    * CPU Settings are restored now after reboot

In particular, I'm proud that stuff for which other devices are struggling or have abandoned, are fully working in MiniCM (Wifi, Battery life, FM Radio, tethering, Camera and Camcorder, you name it...). This is big achievement for our team and a huge goal that has been reached!
My thanks goes to each and everyone that has contributed one way or another, over the time, for this project. Anything from patches, ideas, testing, tools, etc has improved significantly this work.

I consider this work complete. Only addition from now on will be providing nightlies via the MiniCMUpdater's channel.

    Cheers,
    nAa
