I had used this Rom with nAa kernel..
and i found this to b too laggy..
but reading peoples comments i think there must b some problem..
is it really that smooth ?
do i have to do anything ? o_O

EDIT: Error installing the rom o_O . status 7 ?
its 4.1.0 :(
now m trying 4.0.2
Please tell me whats the issue :(

I found another possible solution on this forum and that is editing the updater-script located in META-INF/com/google/android. Edit 2.6.32.60 for 2.6.32.61

FIXED: when phone don't wake up from deep sleep when POWER or HOME button is pressed

SORRY, NOT SURE if it is WORKING, even if it seem to work for some time, now start failing again, apparently i was lucky? that when i was modifying this files the unlock mechanism started working perfectly until now

Probably some of you have this problem, you need to press several times the power button, home button, back button and any imaginable sort of button combination to finally unlock the device.
Probably you also notice that when you are in deep sleep and you press the power(or home) button the phone indeed wake up but the screen don't. So you can touch the screen and you can feel (if you have vibration enabled) when you slide the slider in the unlock screen, but you can't see anything the screen remains off.

Solution:(see UPDATE2 at the bottom)
Replace this "patched" files:
Generic.kl->View attachment Generic.zip (unzip it first, the file is inside the zip)
qwerty.kl->View attachment qwerty.zip (unzip it first, the file is inside the zip)
to /system/usr/keylayout
and change ownership and permission accordingly
*****************************************************************

*What i changed was:
in Generic.kl
***original***
key 102 MOVE_HOME
key 107 MOVE_END
key 114 VOLUME_DOWN
key 115 VOLUME_UP
key 116 POWER WAKE
key 142 POWER WAKE
key 143 POWER WAKE
key 152 POWER WAKE
***************
***patched***
key 102 HOME WAKE_DROPPED
key 107 POWER WAKE_DROPPED
key 114 VOLUME_DOWN WAKE
key 115 VOLUME_UP WAKE
key 116 POWER WAKE_DROPPED
key 142 POWER WAKE_DROPPED
key 143 POWER WAKE_DROPPED
key 152 POWER WAKE_DROPPED
***************

in qwerty.kl
***original***
key 107 ENDCALL WAKE_DROPPED
key 102 HOME WAKE
key 116 POWER WAKE
***************
***patched***
key 107 POWER WAKE_DROPPED
key 102 HOME WAKE_DROPPED
key 116 POWER WAKE_DROPPED
***************

*Explanation?
Apparently when phone enter deep sleep it no longer use shakira_keypad.kl layout as it should and starts using the generic layout. The problem is that the relevant keys in the generic layout are not the same as in shakira_keypad.kl layout.
So i changed the generic layout to match the shakira layout as you can see in the changes above.

ps: apparently the generic qwerty.kl layout is deprecated, i changed it also just in case

UPDATE---
After a lot of usage with the patch it fails to me unlocking using the HOME button.
Until now POWER button is working correctly...

UPDATE2--
try with this files instead:
View attachment keylayout_2.zip
inside there are 3 files Generic.kl, qwerty.kl and 7k_handset.kl
seems to be working again, test yourself

    CrystalMiniCM10 Theme

CrystalMiniCM10 is a fork of my Crystal2 Theme. It is properly scaled for LDPI/MDPI resolution screens and optimized for MiniCM10, while it has almost all the features of the playstore edition.
The theme will receive regular updates through the MiniCM10 nightlies and is a constant work in progress :)

    • the FAQ will be incremented when needed
    • the Q&A is written as Q are asked

something else that is useful to read before asking :
Here we (nearly all? XDA members, regardless of being devs or only users [like me], me at least ) don't care about your good/bad English ;) the important is trying to be understood and to understand the content of the threads :)
only ask things you can't find, or you don't understand, please if you don't understand something in any process tell us exactly where is your problem : it will optimize the answer ;)

sometime rephrasing things can make you understand better, feel free to help us for making the most understandable sentence for anybody :)

2/ wanna go back to a non jelly bean based rom?( all builds ; all devices )
flash the kernel you want, then go to CWM > mount&storage and format :*
    • /system
    • /data
    • /cache
==> you can now restore a backup of the old rom you were previously using or install another non JB based rom

7/ i updated from miniCM10-4.0.0 to 4.0.1 and after updating the gapps to 20120923 i lost the camera ? (miniCM10-4.0.1 ; all devices)
    • go to mount&storage
    • format /system (NO data lost :) )
    • install miniCM4.0.1 again
    • install gapps 20120923
    • reboot&wait
all should be back to normal : fast and feature full ;)

    Perfomance :

    recomended settings :
    perf related :
    • CPU: keep default, but enable UnderVolting (and set on boot if you don't OverClock) (settings>performance>CPU)
    • RAM : to optimize RAM usage, use KSM, zram (18%, default) and allow purging of assets (settings>performance>memory managment)
    • I/O : keep NOOP, this is the default and the best for flash memory
    other :
    in settings>developer options
    • enable USB debugging,
    • debug notification,
    • set all animations to 0.5 (electron beam CRT animation will happen no more)
    • enable "kill with back button"
    ________________

for whose who feel the system slow and laggy, just try the SWAP ;) (SDcard class6+ recommended)

SWAP, there is two "kind" of swap : using a partition on the SDcard, or using a swap file
both are good, but some SDcard/phones react better with the one or the other

let us start with the partition way : it is more complicated than the file method, but as some advantages ;)

pros: once it is set up, no need to care about it anymore, the SDcard can be mounted to PC easily without latency
cons: a little complicated to set up, and once it's done, it is as complicated to revert as to set up; to change swap size, you need to repeat the process (formating and partitioning SDcard)

needs a clean install of miniCM10:
    • flash JB kernel
    • in CWM, go to mount&storage :
    • then, format /system, /data and /cache (so that kernel can use the new partitions size) any data on phone memory will be lost
    • set up your swap:
    • ==> go to /advanced/Partition SD Card
    • if you don't want to use a2sd, then choose the minimal size for ext, and the size you want for SWAP
it will FORMAT your SDcard ! any data on SDcard will be LOST
    • and install the rom :)

    swap partition should work :)
what doesn't work is the swap info menu

to revert : format SDcard in phone settings : it will FORMAT your SDcard ! any data on SDcard will be LOST

    ____________________

now, the swap file way : it is really simpler than the swap partition, works great but has some drawbacks

pros: easy to set up, easy to revert, and the size can be choosen at wish at anytime (in settings>performance>memory>Swap settings)
cons: high latency when mounting SDcard to pc, it can take forever (really quicker to use CWM mount and storage capability to use the SD on the PC, than using android way)

you must perform a clean install of miniCM10 (by formating /system, /data and /cache) any data on phone memory will be lost
install the rom zip, the gapps, and boot up your phone
    set it up
once your rom is ready to use,

    • go to settings>performance>memory>Swap settings
    • choose "enabled"
    • choose the size
    • allow system to get SU permissions
    • wait for the pop up "swap enabled"
enjoy, it is simple and can be disabled on wish

to see if you swap works, open terminal, and type the following :
    Code:
    free
    76
Good news folks! HW encoding/decoding works, and so does stuff like camcorder, YT HQ, etc.
This is due to the continuous efforts of the msm7x27 dev community (devs from lge, samsung, semc devices) which has worked together once again to prove that these devices aren't dead.

New version will come within the next days with an extra something...

    Cheers!
