Hello everyone,

I finally can release my MIUI v4 build for the Desire Z/Vision!

What is this?
This ROM is a completely clean and mod-less MIUI version.
So everyone can use this and build a own ROM or include mods.
It is based on Andromadus JellyBelly 1 and the official Nexus S MIUI v4 build (the good miuiandroid.com build, not the miui.us crap).
Current Version is 2.12.28

WARNING: I'm not responsible for any problems with this rom. I've tested it and it runs. So flash at your own risk!

  • hardware key lights

Plans for upcoming releases:
  • fix the bugs ;)

Install:
  1. Create a backup
  2. boot into Recovery
  3. full wipe
  4. flash the english zip file
  5. if you want another language flash english and than (without full wipe, only wipe cache and dalvik) flash multi lang zip
  6. reboot
  7. restore backup

Nice will most certainly be trying this :) i dont have time to build my own rom nor do i use my DZ as my primary device but i still cant resist updating it with all the goodness of MIUI :)

This actually usable in terms of speed compared to previous ports. I'm going to give it a try with a full day of use. Thank you.

EDIT:Tried out the ROM and it's amazingly well running, but NetworkLocationProvider FC was annoying me a bit too much. Patiently waiting for a fix :)

Homescreen->menu->search. Not working button ;-)

Update #2.
I cant install Foursquare from market 'cuz my device isn't compatible o_O

congrats on the port, I was working on something myself (with the andromadus 3.x kernel) but I don't have the time currently to complete it
anyways the reason the play store will tell you the device is not compatible is because of the build.prop id:

needs to be

ro.build.id=IMM76L

and the locationmanager FC is because of a missing lib, namely liblocSDK_2.2.so (you can get it from any original MIUI build, don't forget to set permissions!)

Cellular connectivity is very buggy. I think that for some time I could access data on 2g then it stopped working. 3g didn't work at all, no data and could call even though there was signal showing.

The mobile connection speed is very slow too, despite being connected to HSDPA (50kbps max).

You'll have to make some changes to the build.prop for app compatibility and network issues...

I've included the missing .so file, so FC is gone ;)
I'll release a new update in a few days

this button works for me. Don't know whats wrong.

I can't install it, too. Had a similar issue on my older ports. I couldn't restore my apps, but on this port it works so I didn't checked it.
a little workaround: download the apk from somewhere else and install it from sdcard. This works.

Little Update:

I wanted to release a new version today, but I had a long day at university and just came home around 11pm.
So, maybe I'll release an update later that night or tomorrow ;)
Don't know if I update to audacity b5, cause it seems it has some new bugs.

Planned updates:
- include gapps
- include fixed bugs
- multi lang

Mediafire host and usb fix will follow tomorrow.
I forgot to fix the usb bug and recognized it after the upload was finished.
