Regarding the SD card mounting, I had the same problem with bilboa1's kernel on the latest CM7 build : no SD card detected...
Flashing again the latest CM7 update (with its kernel) solved the problem, and my SD Card was detected again.

Hope this helps...

hmm okay thanks dude, will see what i can do.

Only problem with the latest build of CM7 is that you cannot flash a custom kernel, and MIUI doesn't boot with the stock CM7 kernel provided.

the latest cm7 has no source and has been removed from sf i think (?)
but if thats the case you can flash an older "bilboa kernel" and you probably get the correct sd mounted

otherwise, the sd is still there and could be mounted manually

That's what I was thinking, flashing a previous bilboa kernel so the SD cards got mounted, anyone tries? :D

After days not logged in into XDA, I am so glad to see this thread. Cheers to Mambo and team jBlanc. Excellent job. I didn't expect it to be so fast with so many stuffs working already. Excellent chefs.

Yup but camera works and camcorder as usual, RIL polling is still there.

You could do that, in theory it should work. But a fresh install is always better ;)
Hi MAMBO,

I have been using CM7 since 0306, very good, faster and more stable than any Samsung or XDA I used before, excluding the known problems...

Is it enough to flash the last update if I want to go back ?

What are the differences MIUI brings ?

Thanks,

Ok, booted, looks nice, english translation works, ending calls work, wifi works, havent tried gps yet :) just noticed that there are no ringtones in it lol. the sdcard mounting will be resolved quickly i suppose. GREAT JOB and keep up the good work :)

EDIT: just tried CM7_GT-I9000_kernel_kang_20110311_02_update.zip from bilboa1 and sdcard WORKS!!!

Flashed that kernel from the start and still SD card isn't detected by Gallery, MIUI Music etc, only file manager. You sure it's fully working?

I think i should clarify: SD card IS detected by File Explorer ONLY, External SD isn't and no apps can detect the SD card.

U try with the cm7 supercurio kernel?
MIUI has it's issues, mainly the same as CM7, speedwise it's the same. I wouldn't recommend switching yet, CM7 is probably more stable.

Yes i haven't tried that, we have 3 kernels we can use, so time to test away ;)
