For me its laggy like hell. I go back to the best stable version for me 2.7.13. Only thing i´ll miss is the statusbar settings wich where includet in the 2.7... Is there anyway to enable or flash it afterwards? tryed the one from MIUI.de but didnt work for me.

Hey, Can you please clarify more about Aslym Kernel beta 1
and is this different from this link
{
Asylum-Beastmode-CM10.zip
Asylum-Beastmode-R1-CM10.zip
Asylum-insanity-kernel-cm10.zip *new*
}

And How do we flash it?
Flash the same with recovery...
Asylum-insanity-kernel-cm10.zip is beta one..
U can underclock upto 100mz with this kernel with better RAM management and free from lag...

I am getting a "package file is invalid" error when I try to install paid apps. Free apps install without any problems. I came from the latest unofficial cm10 nightly and I did a full factory wipe after flashing this rom. I have tried clearing cache, dalvik cache and even flashed the latest gapps. Nothing seems to fix the issue. Anyone else with the same problem.

Yeah did that. Same error. Gave up and flashed back the cm10 unofficial nightly.
Hey you do not need to wipe anything after flashing this ROM...

First abyss
Perform 3 wipes
Then manually format /system (ensuring cm10 remains are gone)
Now flash this ROM
And reboot

I'm also experiencing major lag, it didn't change when I flashed the asylum kernel though. Aside from the slow interface, this build is eating my RAM until around 50 MiB remains. I have to reboot my Note every 3 hours to clear the RAM & keep the lag within bounds. The previous ICS build was perfectly smooth and RAM was always abundantly available. I get the impression the lag & RAM problems isn't an issue for everybody, am I correct?

When I flashed the previous build i.e. 8_22
I used to see that maps used to automatically run in the background even though I never turned it on...
Even after I removed it from RAM it used to see it. That used a lot of my RAM

In this build everything is fine esp after flashing Aslym... Its now much much smother and its faster than stock...

This is my experience...
Don't know about others

The Google Maps background process indeed, same problem here on the latest build. I just reflashed after formatting /system a couple of times. The annoying Maps background process is gone and the ROM is running a whole lot smoother. Problem solved, at least for me. Still have to see wat it does after it's running for a couple of hours but I've got good faith :)

Many thanks, got it working. Here is what I did. I followed your advice performed 3 wipes, formatted /system, flashed the ROM, rebooted and tried installing the titanium pro key and I got the same error. I then rebooted to recovery flashed latest gapps ,wiped cache and dalvik, fixed permissions, rebooted and FINALLY the paid app successfully installed.

I booted into recovery and used Aroma File Manager and deleted systemui.apk and rebooted. That resolved the notification bar and settings stopped error.

I tried using ICS control to enable navigation bar but that didn't help. :confused:

Don't use ICS Control or Rom Manager Lite to change DPI, it will not boot after that, why? I got no idea. What I did was I used the cmw zip from Utacka's thread to do it.

Now everything is working fine for me now. Thanks to OP.

Hello, multilang 2.8.24 also does not work here. Rom installed successfully but multilang does not show at all.
If it doesnt change your lang you need to edit your build.prop
Will post later how ..
