Hi, with the GB version, my defy+ run 2 days. With 3g+data during daytime.
An app may drain your battery.

You can use the combo BetterBatteryStats + CpuSpy to see what happens.

With CpuSpy, if you see that the phone is never going to deep sleep, you can use betterBatteryStats to see what app is locking the kernel (kernel locks) or what app is waking the phone too much (alarms).

Something is wrong with your battery. How old is it? Also check your vsel and CPU gverner settings. I'm able to get close to 24 hours with wifi/3G on the whole day. Earlier it used to last only about 12-15 hours. Then I tweaked the Vsel to 17/300 32/600 42/800 57/1100 and CPU set to smartass
hi..do you change governor on bootmenu? may share your smartass settings?thanks..:cowboy:

Can i use GB version on my Defy(red lens)? By installing GB kernel.
if you are in froyo 2,2 there is no need to instal GB kernell
just use 3.1.27(froyo kernel) first option in first page

"Download - Stable (GB) 3.1.27
FiNAL version for Defy with Froyo kernel (kernel isn't included)"

if you are from latest cm10 ext4 you need to make them ext3 before flashing WIUI any of his version
all of Wiui version are available with froyo and ginger allthow it is better to have in simple DEFY froyo 2,2 Central Europe

abhi9029 difference between red and green lens is one and only in red lens PANORAMA working if you chose in Aroma installer
Defy and Defy+ difference is in Defy plus you may need a patch so when charging your battery you get 100% instant 85%

This rom aint smooth.
Scrolling through settings are laggy.
Opening and closing app animation is also laggy. In spare parts window and transition animation gives you the option fast, normal, slow etc. But i think these options are for pretending that the rom is good in UI but it aint. Because when i first install this rom the window and trasition options are set as fast. I think that ROM is fast. But after one day ROM is so laggy.
Opening and closing apps takes time. Even when i press home button for a long time the task manager window appears after 15 seconds. This is really embarrassing. While searching i found those spare parts settings and options to set animation fast and slow and feels like i am being supid this whole time ( I was thinking that the ROM is fast but its not. Its actually animation is fast and the rom is slow.)
The scrolling is not smooth in settings and in every application i installed.
The data connectivity problem still persists. When i check data enabled on it take too much time to actually 'ON' it. I nearly have to pressed 15 times or more to successful activate it. And when its activated (edge or HSPA) it disappeares after half and hour or sometimes even early. This is so annoying. Again i have to do that 15 times step and i really pissed off with this.
And the games are no working well even the doodle jume. This ROM gives too much disappointment.
I tried few things like wiping caches and dalvik , again flashing 2.2.2 sbf and again installing this but nothing happens. After few days ROM lags.
Is there any solution?

+1. I`ve tried over two dozens of different ROMs and always coming back to WIUI. It`s fast, nice looking, gives about 1850 on Quadrant and so on... Sometimes there are some minor bugs /to be honest/, but they are really minor ones - so no problem for me.

+1 guys

I have tried almost every rom here and, although we have great developers they can't make miracles. Actually, they do make miracles making our Defy even run the new android versions. But our device is outdated and does not run 4.1/4.2 the way it should be run. We only have 512mb, for god's sake!

That's why I always come back to WIUI 2.3

It's the best rom around. Just make sure to remove some unnecessary system apks and download setvsel to overclock AND undervolt your device!

you do not need setvesel
restart your phone when blue led lid push "Vol-" in the menu go to CPU SETTINGS and you find all you need speed /voltage/how to ondemand/smartass/interactive etc. do not forget to save yours settings it is at the bottom then go back and reboot

Install ontop of Custom ROM?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to give WIUI a try and installed it ontop of PVL-Stock-PLUS which I'm using right now (Defy+). Everything went fine and I liked the look and feel of it. But when I tried to receive an SMS, it didn't reach me and instead the phone rebooted, probably when it was meant to accept the incoming SMS. Has anyone an idea what to do about it - or am I supposed to use a different ROM as base for my Defy+ to get a working GB-Kernel? And, if, what would be best?

Thanks! madelgijs
