Hi there mate !!! i really really like your rom, i´ve installed in dual boot along with DSJ ICS 2.2.10 rom.
I just wanted to tell you that i´ve made a post in "Grupo Android" translating all your main post to Spanish (Castellano Argentina), here it is:

http://www.grupoandroid.com/topic/37922-pikachu-edition-2210-aroma-installer/

So people can get to your rom and enjoy it on this corner of the earth :)

PS: i´ve made a standar installation, but i think i´ll wipe the second boot and make a more detailed installation to see what´s in there :D

Help! My Defy+ won't charge normally! :-/

First I flashed miui.us rom, and my defy only charged to around 60-70%. Then i found this beautiful mod and I flashed back to 2.3.6 stock, charged it to 100%, flashed froyo bl6 (still fully charged), installed the rom with Defy+ battery fix, charged it to 100% again and calibrated battery. I used it for a day, then left it to charge overnight, but when i woke up, it had only charged to 94%!

I've left it to charge again, but it still hasn't passed 94% :-S Also, when i was on cm7, my Defy charged much faster. Now it feels like it climbs one percent every 15 mins!

Anyone got a clue?

you mean 2nd Boot Settings ???? this is a script which is used in most roms to set some settings after the second boot. It doesn't work with the first boot because the database is firstly created after the first boot.

it sets some settings like 3rd Apps are allowed, USB Debugging activated, Battery Icon to %, Windows screen animation speed to fast, and some others. It is something most of us users would do after a full wipe installation. That is everything done by the script.

here is the content, you will know which function is for what

# Identify SQL database path
sysdb=/data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db

sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'layout_style','0')";

sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'show_carrier','1')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'custom_carrier','0')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'show_logo','0')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'show_alarm','1')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'drop_down_date','dd. MMM yyyy')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'lockscreen_date',' ')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'window_animation_scale','0.5')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'transition_animation_scale','0.5')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'confirm_miui_disclaimer','1')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO secure VALUES(NULL,'install_non_market_apps','1')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'battery_indicator_style','1')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'show_battery','1')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'vibrate_in_silent','1')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'vibrate_in_normal','0')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'accelerometer_rotate_180','1')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'screen_brightness_mode','1')";
sqlite3 $sysdb "INSERT INTO system VALUES(NULL,'allow_3rd_phone','1')";

Hi there,

so is it correct, that I can flash this ROM on my Defy+ (android 2.3.4 and kernel 2.6.32.9-gbad50c3) without downgrading to Froyo? Already its rooted with CMW, but still remaining on stock ROM.

Thanks for advice.

SO you flash this rom and a patch for the battery? is it necesary?
i flash this rom and then notice that the baterry slow down his "charge velocity" when is over 80%.
the first time take 14h to charge 100%.
now in 7h charge only to 91%

defy+ battery don't work.... fake 100% charge.... Only 4.2v and li-ion battery indicate!
I've charged mine to 4325mV and calibrated it there (since it wasn't going any higher for an hour).

My battery is now at 61%, after 32 hours (during which I made 4 calls (<1min) sent 30-40sms, played for an hour, played music through the speaker for 10 minutes, mobile data was connected for an hour and I've restarted my phone 6 times (because of the settings I've been applying).

As far as I can see, I can get 3 days on battery without any problems with this ROM. That's awesome.

My DEFY+ was 2.3.5, so I flashed Froyo before flashing Pikachu. Maybe you should try the same method, cause I have no idea why it would work differently on mine and yours phones...
