Xiaomi.eu's tag line is "THE PURE MIUI PROJECT". I think it just makes sense to stay true to what they promised which is a debloated MIUI. I think Xiaomi.eu is not for people who wants a lot of features. There are other custom ROMs out there that will meet your criteria.
but he's not asking for new features he's only asking for updated apps and such. i myself am asking for bug fixes, but since i've found no bugs since 12.0.6 i'll just shut up. but my point still stands.

I didn't ask for new features. I asked for up to date system apps, up to date security patches, general improvements for system functionality.
As I said before (post #240), some of this was done with 12.0.6 release. It's a good start :)

I understand. Their limited capacity may be a factor too. Maybe if we can donate or contribute to development, they'd have the capacity to do that. It's worth noting that they do this for free and we reap most benefit.

I just wonder why Shaomi still uses 14.4.117 kernel version (which is about 1 year and 8 months old!!! the curent one is 14.4.212)....the same kernel for xiaomi.eu releases, obviously :)

Hello. I just found instructions to install the custom rom in another site and in there they mention we have to flash "vmbeta.img" before we flash TWRP. But in these pages I've never read anything about this.
So I guess it isn't necessay, right??

Another thing mentioned is after flashing Magisk, we must flash a ZIP named "no-verity-opt-encrypt". Is this necessary too?

Sorry for the questions, butin my previous Mi 5 Pro there was no need for any of these ("vmbeta.img" or "no-verity-opt-encrypt")

No "vmbeta.img" need it. I don't use Magisk, so I can tell you nothing about this.

What to do if the archive with the update needs to be installed through recovery, since the archive does not contain windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat and others files.

Upgraded from 12.0.4 to 12.0.6 and Mi Notes kept crashing and crash report is saying:

Binary XML file line #2 in com.miui.notes:layout/miuix_appcompat_micloud_state_view: Error inflating class

Sounds like the APK is having issue?
