What is the deal with MIUICS?

I'm not trying to sweat you, but you said you'd have a working build up several days ago. I PMed you, and you said you'd shoot me a copy. Neither have happened.

If you're busy with school and stuff...so be it. Not a big deal. But considering that I own my own business, my schedule is pretty flexible. And now that it seems that support for MIUIGB is drying up, it seems like the clock may be ticking a bit faster.

So, what I'm saying is...please let us help you. Even if what you've got so far doesn't boot, shoot me a link, and I will take a look at it. I've got a few hybrid kernels compiled that are a cross between Tiamat GB and Tiamat ICS, and I'm curious to see if they'll boot on ICS (as they won't for GB).

I don't want to be too negative about MIUI ICS, but at this point there are a lot of things that are just not going to work on the EVO 3D until HTC releases a stock ROM for ICS.

I'd be more interested in a GB ROM that's as vanilla as possible (+il Duce's Superzip) based on the 2.4.13 MIUI update (if that's the last GB build) similar to the one joelz posted on the OP of this thread for 2.4.6. If that's possible and it's stable it will probably pretty make make this thread moot since it's topic is the Gingerbread version of MIUI and there's a separate thread for the Ice Cream Sandwich version.

Isn't it possible to just integrate the super zip into the GB build?

Just hopped on this Miui ROM not too long ago. I read about the phone fc. I tried replacing the framework.jar with the one Cordy posted, but it made my phone very unstable and crashed everytime.

So now I'm torn between this one which has working MMS, and the 2.2.23 version which has stable phone.

I'm switching back to 2.2.23 for the time-being, but I will be coming back to satisfy my Miui needs. Thanks for all your roms JoelZ.

im pretty sure i posted a build here...

It was posted to twitter, I know, as I ran it for about a day. I just noticed a preview2 up there on androidfilehost, gonna try it out now.

With the first one I had trouble with wifi and the market/play store. Any recommendation on gapps to flash? I tried the one miui.us put up before, maybe it'll work better with the preview2.

EDIT: Used the same gapps on preview2, no market issues. Also, wifi seems to be just fine on this build.

Scott, you should talk to Ben. They found a way to get 4G, 3D, and A2DP working for MIUI. They are going to start working on it for their next release.

No, that's correct. And I didn't do squat. He's an OG Developer, part of the original TWRP team, I believe. Using the latest MIUI, he was able to force 3d output to the screen in both horizontal and vertical paralax modes.

Additionally, he's got a helluva lot more knowledge about how bluetooth works than I do.

And for finishers, his team has already cracked wiimax for the 3VO/AOSP.

So, in short, I (and all of us) are damned fortunate that he decided to take an interest in MIUI. I've thrown my current ROM base and Kernel source onto github/d8ahazard.

Collabo-game iz gonna be crackin'.

Holy crap it sounds like development is about to kick it into high gear again huh? So, it wasn't really states but the WiMax working will be for Gingerbread MIUI right? Not for ICS? Or are they going to take a stab at that as well?
