thanks for this great ROM, I really love MIUI V5 :good:

I found bug with version 3.3.29 | Continuum - Rom 1.2, I can't set ringtones, notifications, sms notifications, when click on it, Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.

Anyone has problem like me?

just drag and drop this app into system/app and restart your mobile

fixed sounds / notification settings (drmprovider.apk was missing?????) see my previous post
reverted back to original MiuiV5 Launcher
smoother rom
themes still buggy - not applying
root permissions fixed

- flash over previous version of MiuiV5, all your settings / apps / data will remain intact / saved

for themes working Need to copy installd from miui rom. now shell is included in this file. make a flashable Zip with installd and flash it after first boot. dont wipe caché. dont copy installd directly to your rom or Will get a lot of fc at boot. the path is /system/bin

Use the attached script in Recovery CWM it will fix the themes issue in version 1.3

hi, try the next experiment
do a call , and press home key. tell me if when appear on the status bar the green bar with your call status you get a force close.

Some Bugs

USB SD Card mode doesn't work. (When trying to access the SD card from PC)
Camera Forced Close also flash light doesn't work properly

Hello, are you doing the MIUI 3.4.5 port ? , I try by myself with this release: http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=385671&uk=422304394 as port and cm-10-20130217-NIGHTLY-urushi as base, I successfully attempted to boot but at startup I have error like "unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped", or "Unfortunately, Airkan Phone has stopped" or "Unfortunately, Xiaomi service framework has stopped" or "Unfortunately, Permission Manager has stopped".
How did you resolve this issues in the 3.3.29 version ?
For my part, I use the JJDoctor's method with some change (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1534656)

FIRST of all let me give away a little secret

then add - its not easy to port miui anymore due to radical changes

I too had the same issues hence why I am waiting for a reliable copy
all attempts to get the latest MIUIV5 failed with corrupt downloads
and to make things worse they are on holiday till next week

I have used the software and it does port successfully
as long as you copy right to left (merge any diff's)
The only issues are some corrupt apps FC
So I am thinking it really doesn't warrant merging any diff's as we are using an LT18 rom which is of course as close to ST18 as possible

So my next step is to use the software port again and this time NOT merge any files
and copy the original apps from the miui over along with framework, font and media folders into the final port

HOWEVER further reading has lead me to this

change the kernel for the one above should resolve all FC issues

As for your poll
i say make DARYL as small as possible (micro or Pico JB).

And on Continum Rom - Trying near good version of MiUi V5 with AcidMOD v7 and Supermecy Script

In Simple words - Take the idea of SJB v3.0 where that rom tries to be Xperia Z.

Turning it to MiUi v5 (or posible JB4.2) with exact clone.

Stock ICS - March 2012 to June 2012 with custom mods
CyanogenMOD 9 - July 2012 to Sep 2012
MiUi v4 - Oct 2012 to Dec 2012
FXP150 - Dec 2012 to March 2013 with custom tweaks and mods
SJB - March 2013 to till Date

Bug just like on bugs list, and no others bug yet, if you want google sync just install full gapps..
By the way, free RAM I think is too little, it just under 100Mb, any way to make more of it?

...I have removed as much crap as possible to make it as slim as possible

HOWEVER you can try removing some more apps that you do not use
This list is the safe stuff to remove

Backup
Calendar
CalendarProvider
Calculator
CloudService
Fmapplication
FmRxService
MiuiCompass
Weatherprovider

Remove other stuff at own risk

You could try the Prototype Optimization v2.1 by ZN6
Works great and gives me about another 20MB to 40MB extra
