everybody wants the latest and the greatest and miui is based on 4.2.2 which is a little bit old but if you noticed the latest and greatest is bricking a lot of phones.nd8,kit kat,ive run kit kat nothing special,nd8 sucks because it has knox which is sprints sword to flashers.miui is great and thats all ive run since it was ported
Knox effects my phone in no way whatsoever. I have a little one after Warranty Bit in my Bootloader, that's it. If you already tried ND8, you have Knox. You might wanna read up on what you're talking about. People have bricked because they tried to downgrade their firmware which is one thing that Knox prevents. If you flash the MK3 Modem, you'll brick your phone. ND8 is great, I also love MIUI, and some AOSP ROMs. You have to appreciate things for what they are. It's all about options, that's what we are here for... But saying ND8 sucks because it has Knox is silly. Almost any Samsung phone has Knox, we've worked our way around everything but downgrading the firmware. I personally got a new S3 from Sprint with the Knox Warranty Bit tripped, the only ones that check it are Samsung for the one year warranty they offer on their phones... All in all they figured out a way to save themselves money. But it doesn't prevent you from doing any modding. Sorry for the long OT.

I tried that and still getting "Unfortunately, com.securitycore.miui_t has stopped".
i uninstalled that app and the error is gone, it also didnt seem to break the security app so it seems.

Also if you download a picture from Google to your internal storage and try to delete it, it will leave a corrupt picture that never removes.

Oh and deleting the com.securecore did break one thing, the cache cleaner inside the security center

And ota boot looped my phone

actually even the full 4.7.25 rom bootloops my phone -___-

did you even try the rom before uploading? this is the 3rd time i have to factory reset my phone...

i know the rom is WIP but still some of these problems could have been avoided by double checking the rom.

I don't have a sprint version of the phone but I did try it on my T-Mobile version and it didn't have bootloops. Did you flash kernel after the update?

I've never been able to get any build of miui to boot after flashing that kernel.
Just got an S3, it already had the OTA update to 4.4.2 (ND8)
I have flashed philz recovery and have root access.
I was seconds away from flashing MIUI V5 4.6.6 when I read that flashing roms on ND8 can brick the device.
In all of my experience once I got the custom recovery and root, that was the hard part, the flashing is the easy part.
Is there truth to this? If I flash a JB based MIUI will my device be bricked?
If I flash any rom will my device be bricked?

I don't know where that was posted but it's completely wrong. You can safely flash any rom on your phone. The only thing you can't do is downgrade the bootloader or modem but those aren't included in a custom rom. You're safe. Flash away.

Also, after letting my friend use my phone I noticed that this Rom is selfie proof XD if you try to take a picture with the front facing camera the phone will freeze and reboot and the picture will corrupt
