Hope a12 come quickly. For Miui eu 12.5.1 to 12.5.13, seems they only improved stability each time?

The stable Android 12 release date is scheduled for the 4 october 2021, so... We can easily thinking that a Xiaomi.eu A12 release will be available in October.

Wait & See

I have right :)

Xiaomi.eu A12 is available for Venus, Star/Mars now : xiaomi.eu/MIUI-WEEKLY-RELEASES/21.10.20

The first A12 MIUI Custom available, so all others will come (MiuiMix & OneOS)

EDIT : I advise to wait a little more, there a lot of issue for the moment (read screenshot and commentary from the link).

the only real problem i have had since i flashed it was the MI Messages app crash and the microphone on status bar which is related to google using the mic on the background, by denying google the use of microphone it goes away, for the rest of the bug so far i havent seen them or noticed them

Maybe by freezing Google Assisant it will gone ? Generally i'm using Messages (Google) and for roms with problem (RCS, other bugs) Textra SMS.

Don't remember actually this A12 is just a 12.x, not MIUI 13, so the differences between A11/A12 are, for the moment, more in the fonts / ui / animations.

Yeah I use Google a lot so I just didn't allow the microphone to be on always for the Google app. I tested the latest CN beta and didn't really see any of the issues mentioned here, perhaps it's because the app triggering the privacy dashboard is a Google service which are basic in CN ROM. Besides the animations at least on the CN the are some UI difference but minimal l so far. And yes it still 12.5

Yes I was having reboot issues after rooting and installing some apps, what's odd is that on the CN beta version I didn't encounter those issue and the reason why I went to this rom was for the Google service, because they are very limited at least for a12 CN rom, was having issues connecting my Galaxy watch so it was a no no for me. But once the Xiaomi eu rom gets a couple of more builds I'm sure it will be fine. For some reason it kept telling me that the permission apps was crashing and right after it would reboot to recovery.

Hello, I just tried to install MI11_21.10.22 from Eu 12.5.13.0 using the file "windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format" and after entering the google account and finishing the first set up, it keep bootloop before getting to the launcher. Sometimes it reboot me to the twrp recovery that I used to install the Eu 12.5.13.0 rom. Did I flash the rom incorrectlyor there is something wrong with the rom ?

Maybe the issue happend because I choose to restore google backup on the set up. I already flashed the global rom. I will wait for another beta update and will try it . Thanks you for leeting me know that the rom is fine. Also I just found out that there is a option for call recording on the google diler that come with the global rom. I thought that the global rom does not have it .

Yes i advise to NEVER use restore from cloud when base change (A11 <-> A12 or Weeckly <-> Stable). Prefer a manual backup :
- SMS Backup & Restore for your Call / SMS /MMS
- Backup your Messager Apps (WhatsApp, Signal, Etc...)
- Backup Root folders : DCIM, Downloads, Pictures and your useful personnal folders like WhatsApp, Recorder, Videos, etc...)

After that :
- Install EU A11 ROM Stable (i prefer) or Weekly from TWRP
i have install : xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11_V12.5.11.0.RKBCNXM_v12-11.zip) and configure first boot, Wifi, restart
- In fastboot flash the lastest EU A12 21.10.22 first install with format and configure first boot
Now you can restore your Data
- If you want Root just take the boot.img from the "images" folder from EU A12 21.10.22, install Magisk, patch the boot.img, take the created file patched, CMD (boot patched name change always) :
fastboot boot magisk_patched-23xxx_xxxxx.img

On this mode Magisk is activated but not flashed. Run Magisk app > Install > Direct Installation > Reboot
It's done, you're rooted

And for Apps, yes the Xiaomi dialer is great, beautiful and call recording working fine, contacts app is beautiful.
I advise to change Message app for the Messages app from Google.

I am on weekly 21.9.1 and have been flashing for a few months using twrp. So far this new A12 21.10.20 is fastboot only, so if i have twrp will this be a problem?. Do i have to wipe or can flash as update by fastboot?

    Hi,

    Xiaomi.eu ROM is brilliant.
Unfortunately, it is tied to MIUI and of course has all of it's drawbacks and limitations.

And in the last iterations, there is one limitation that will turn me from Xiaomi devices completely, except for those that can have a custom ROM or of course if Xiaomi changes this.

The limitation is the fact that you can not use Gestures with a foreign launcher.
So you either have MIUI launcher and gestures or Foreign launcher and 3 buttons always showing up and impossible to hide, even if ROM is rooted.
Previously, that could be fixed by changing the display resolution in Developer settings. But not anymore.

So if anyone has a workaround for this, I am a taker.
If not I'll have to find another brand that sells devices with the same price/performance/feature ratio as Xiaomi.
Or wait to see if those new devices get support and custom ROM that allow to circumvent this limitation...

    Regards.

[Update!] So after 6 days of testing I am satisfied with 12.5 rom and stayed on this rom. But I did had a little adventure which I want to share. After first installation I uninstalled bunch of apps (some to many) and I had some random freezes and few minor bugs. So I tried to download EU stable but all of the files were corrupted on the export (I downloaded around 5 times from 3 different devices and exported with 3 different software's like WinRAR, 7zip and windows) and the result was always the same ending in errors. But non the less I tried to install it and I bricked my device :) first time :) So I tried to install global 12.0.3.0 and bricked my device for the second time :) (follow @PandaKiller instruction how to solve rollback protection if you want to go back from 12.5 to global or some other rom) and so I tried my last option that is to just install the same rom 12.5 which I was already on and that end up successful. I uninstall bunch of apps again but much less this time and the rom is very stable since than (March 6.) and works good. Insignificant battery drain on airplane mode or while the phone is off, around 4 - 6 % which is acceptable. Global rom have google dialer which for me is hideous and I like miui dialer much much more. EU 12.5 is noticeable faster and more responsive.

    Apps that I removed :

pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.mi.globalbrowser (MIUI browser)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox (Google)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.hotwordenrollment.xgoogle (Google Assistant)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.hotwordenrollment.okgoogle (Google Assistant)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.mi.health (MIUI Health)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.ar.lens (Google Lens)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.email (Mail)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.mms (Messaging)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.xiaomi.payment (Mi Coin)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.videoplayer (Mi Video)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.player (Music)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.notes (Notes)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.huanji (Mi Mover)
    pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.weather2 (Weather)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.personalassistant (MIUI app vault)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.xiaomi.migameservice (Mi Game Service)
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.protips (Home Screen Tips)

I updated uninstalled apps on 2 places where I posted it so for other users don't have same problems I had.

Updated my Xiaomi Mi11 yesterday to EU-rom Stable.
I've had many doubts about flashing, because so many people here bricked their Mi11's.

Followed all the rules, and..... it worked :)

Some remarks to people who have fear to update:

-my phone is European version, with latest 12.0.9 version on it. Not chinese (as the instrucions tell you). That is no problem for flashing the EU Rom.

-i unlocked bootloader through official Xiami unlock tool

-after unlock, i rebooted phone and set it up again (just quick and dirty). Also check if "OEM Unlock" is still switched on.

-after downloading ROM it was kind of hard to find the "Unblock zip content" in the properties of the zip-file. It's there right after you download the file, but disappears after some seconds, leaving you no option to select that in Windows. Kind of strange.
I downloaded the file 3 times, third time i was quick enough to be able to tick the box.

-i followed all the rules stated in the start of this topic

-another part where it could have gone wrong: a couple of seconds after starting the update procedure in CMD, you see the screen stopping. Leaving you with the last message: "Successful". I almost wanted to plug out the usb-cable and restart, but then i realized: "this has taken only 20 seconds, it can't be that fast...". But: the screen on my pc didn't show any sign of further progress. So: my hands already became sweaty.... "oh no...another mi11 bricked". But: it worked. After some time the update process continued.
So the advice here is: Stay Calm And Wait!! It will continue after a minute or so.

-i also got an error message in the end about not being able to create some disk part. But: that was no problem. Mi11 booted, which took around 8 minutes and then it was done.

    Happy.
