Loving the MIUI ROM for ages now. Also tried the ICS version of it, but found it to be rather slow and not as enjoyable as the GB one. I have one error now though: when trying to access online themes and wallpapers, I get the error "Unable to connect to network". What could this be related to and how would one go about fixing it?

Did you manage to find solution for the online themes issue? I'm having the same problem. Tried to clear the cache, reset, etc and it still is not connecting.

I didn't find a solution to the problem. The error might not be related to the ROM, but Xiami servers.

Reducing battery use and overheat

If you are constantly suffering battery overheating due to 3G signal, you may want to switch the signal preferences. Here's a way to do it:

1. In dialer, press *#*#4636#*#* or install an app named Phone Testing (it launches phone testing application same as *#*#4636#*#*)
2. Go to 'Phone Information'
3. Swipe to this 'Set preferred network type'
4. Assuming it is 'WCDMA preferred', change it to 'GSM Auto (PRL)'

This setting will change its signal quality threshold, allowing it to switch from 3G to 2G 'earlier' and reduce the battery overheat and also reduce battery use.

Hey guys, I'm really happy how this ROM runs on my phone, but there is problem with YouTube. Every time I want to open video it says that I have bad connection and asks to retry. Though my connecting is very good and I'm using old YouTube app that came with gingerbread. Time and date settings are fine. Hosts are also OK. Everything worked on CM7 and now YouTube just won't open video till I press retry button like five times... Anyone has any ideas what's wrong?

I appreciate visual smoothness and style of this ROM. And stability is far better on this ROM than Mildwild(no offense, still great ROM). Since I have my Desire for 4 years now I can say that I've tested and used almost every ROM on XDA. This ROM fits perfectly to me (matter of taste)

Problem is, my FAT32 sdcard is not visible to the system. Any idea? (I can see it in my TWRP recovery).

Do you have restored a backup before, for example, a month or earlier with twrp and still the same?

If the same way, it can be damaged partition table.

TWRP mode NO files are placed in the cache, but MIUI certainly uses cache.
