Yeap Remove all lock screen security and unroot before.

Just install twrp and use OTA.

You can but for the first installation, it is preferable to format data. Possibly use Micloud or others.

The problem that I have is, I'm not sure if flashing twrp now would keep my data intact, I installed using fastboot method, thought I could just update from updater app, but now since I have set up the device, if flashing twrp requires to format the data again then I'll have to start from the scratch :|

Install twrp not requires to format data.

if i open it in Powershell in that Folder

Edit: Ah okay its cause TWrp is available for A12 so that is propably not needed with fastboot and its removed?

There is no more fastboot zip, for a first installation use the TWRP or an old rom in Fastboot zip then update via OTA and twrp.
For an update use the OTA.
