also looking for this and the change music track with volume keys when screen is off patch the old 1.8 something something thread has these but they make my phone bootloopGuys where can i find a working 1% battery step patch? (i found an old one, it killed the screen on/off animation)

Long story but trust me it went to smartphone heaven. Sold for parts.How did you break your hd2. Being an miuiandroid user take it your in the UK. I fix things so might be able to get that hd2 fixed so you can sell it for a defy lol

No Data Wipe Install
This method assumes you already have MIUI and want to upgrade to a newer version without wiping all your data and apps.
1. Download Latest MIUI rom.
2. Boot into Custom Recovery.
3. Choose Install .zip from SD Card, select MIUI rom .zip.
4. Select "Wipe Cache" then go to Advanced and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Reboot.
How To Install from Scratch
If you have 2nd Init installed already skip to step 3, if not start at step 1. These steps assume you already have flashed the Nordic Froyo rom to your Defy.
1. Download Defy 2nd init installer, easiest way is from market.
2. Run the 2nd init installer following the instructions closely.
3. Boot into Custom BootMenu by pressing volume down when device flashes a blue led at bootup. Set default boot mode to 2nd init.
4. Select Recovery, Custom Recovery. Choose "Wipe Data/Cache" option and next select "Wipe Cache" then go to Advanced and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache".
5. Choose Install .zip from SD Card, select MIUI rom .zip.
