I installed this earlier today and got a bootloop, but I think it was a bad download. I've redownloaded the rom, and will flash it while on the way to work tomorrow.

That's a bummer I certainly hope this was just a bad download.

I installed this ROM five different times to be absolutely certain that it was stable. To hear that people are having issues flashing isn't what I was hoping for.

The flash seemed to take an unusually long amount of time, so I'm really thinking that my terrible Wi-Fi at work borked something while downloading. Can you provide an md5 of the original zip file (before upload) just to confirm before I flash again in the morning?

Sure, the MD5 I'm getting locally on my PC before upload is as follows.

To be completely be honest, I rooted my phone and tried almost every ROM in here. Battery life suffered. Pictures came out really bad, "Galaxy S II took better pictures". Reliability sucks almost on every ROM in here, considering the most popular ones are PORTS "give me a break". I did not get an S4 to have crappy pictures, bad battery life and unstable OS. I keep up to your ROMs believe it or not :) but I will refuse to root my phone and flash anything until the Google ROM from the S4 becomes available. I think that I am over all the flashing :( it gets old very fast when you have kids and you want to take pictures and the phone freezes or half the time won't work.

Remember these points.

Reliability - Stock or Better
Pictures & Video - Stock or Better
Battery Life - Stock or Better
Bloat - Haha well removed :) with the option to add back certain things.

Until this happens I will not flash anything :(

Sorry you feel that way man.

Did you run into issues with this particular ROM? I've gotten better than stock battery life and it's been rock solid stable for me.

Looking at the download stats it has over 100 downloads and there seems to be only 2 or 3 people posting with a problem and one of them may have just a corrupt download since it was downloaded via the phone itself.

The things you list are all included in this ROM for the most part:

Reliability - Haven't had one FC or crash on this ROM in 72 hours of heavy, heavy use as as stress test.

Pictures & Video - This is stock, "better" won't really happen from a hardware stand point because that remains static. Any "improvements" to the media capturing quality of this device would be done via software I believe.

Battery Life - This was mentioned above, I'm getting better than stock - using the stock kernel. I think this is due to the next point...

Bloat - A lot of bloatware was removed in this ROM which may have increased battery life due to some of the processes running in the background when they weren't needed.

No one will ever force you into flashing a ROM. Take your time and test them out at your own pace or don't test any out at all and remain stock. The beauty of android is it's ultimately your choice!

I'm sorry but I have not flashed your ROM yet. If I do it will be of the new one. I would like to give it a shot. I was just sick of having issues and I have y phone setup the way I like it and to tell you the truth starting over really sucks but I am whiling to try it. When do you think the new one will be up?

New one may be up tomorrow, may not be, all depends on how much free time I end up getting.

I'm hesitant to move to MF9 right now because even people flashing the stock MF9 Odexed and Deodexed ROMs are giving some people problems it seems.

Take your time and just make it perfect. Don't rush it. I am actually going to give this a try right now :)

NANDROID BACK UP BEFORE YOU DO.

That way if something doesn't work for some god forsaken reason you can just load up your backup and it's like nothing ever happened.
Yea I know :) I have been rooting all of my phone since the Nexus One. I went through almost 9 phones since then :) Can you do me a favor please?

Incorporate hacked exchange in your rom.

Have a feeling a hacked exchange won't act nice with my work's exchange servers. Because I and some other users use this ROM for work specifically I don't think I can do that but you could import it yourself if you want!
