Well it was digiblur who offered in the first place:You'll wait an eternity. Digiblur will never post a hotspot mod; it violates your T&C. You can use the hotspot mod from other roms but it'll probably break another feature; its a trade off you'll have to make.
If I'm running Paranoid Android 4.4 how would I go about installing this ROM. Tired of the instability/battery life on AOSP. Should I just wipe, flash MK4 baseband, and flash the ROM? Will wifi work? Would prefer not to flash a fix via Odin, don't have access to a PC, only Mac.
digiblur, first off, I'd like to thank you for all your hard work and dedication. It sucks that you are moving on to a different platform. I really wish that there were Google Play editions of Sprint phones...
In any case, I'd like caution anyone else who is considering upgrading but hasn't. I upgraded by going back to stock (with the KNOX platform). Issues I've noticed:
1) Wake lock issues. The phone simply doesn't want to go to sleep anymore, which means HIGH battery drain.
2) Random FCs and reboots. In fact, the entire experience is laggy.
3) Screen is laggy to turn on. It sometimes doesn't turn on at all (requiring a battery pull).
4) Audio glitches, especially when the screen is off. This indicates to me that the kernel isn't correctly scaling the CPU.
5) I hate the new jumbo fonts. I didn't buy a big phone to be able to read the same amount of text as an other 4.x" device. Worse, they occasionally don't rasterize properly.
Of course, I've tried re-flashing, re-downloading, etc.
What I would recommend (and I'm going to revert back to):
1) digiblurROM_20130602 (MC2)
2) Perseus-alpha36.3-l900
3) MK4 baseband
The above combination results is predictable performance and great battery life.

Would there be any forseeable problems with using the latest Devil kernel instead? Because that's what I've been on, and I have been having problems with it completely locking up on me (why don't smartphones have reset pins anymore?). Usually happens when it's asleep, but has happened when it is awake, and usually 10 or more hours apart. I've tried raising the "underclocking" minimum in the Devil Tools control panel as suggested in another thread, but I still had it happen to me again today. Is there any easy way to troubleshoot this or common cause? I'll raise the minimum CPU frequency again to 700Mhz this time, so we'll see if that helps any, but in the meantime, does anyone have any other suggestions or an idea as to what might be causing the problem?
Thanks.

Why do you want to use devil kernel if you are having trouble with devil kernel?
I had the same problems as you. I believe is TWiz related. Some don't have issues. We are the lucky ones , i guess.
I'm not even really entirely sure if that is what is causing the problem at all. I just got the device last week, and this is the first real kernel and rom combination that I've actually spent more than 45 minutes with.
But to answer your question of why I'm using devil kernel; unless I'm mistaken (and I very well may be), Devil Kernel seems to be the only kernel that supports some form of Voodoo Sound (Boeffla Sound in this case) in addition to a way to correct the nasty green tint inherent with the super amoled display (I was actually at a loss after looking at all the settings until I checked "Master Sequence" inside of the "color calibration" screen in the "screen settings" tab of Devil Tools, and that fixed 90-95% of the problem right there on the spot). If you're pretty sure this is the problem and if you know of any other kernel that can do the audio and screen tweaks, I'm all ears.

On Twiz devil is the only one... It doesn't work for me. There is one more for AOSP and devil works there too.
