Test your Rom since yesterday and what should I say, it's absolutely amazing, thank you so much for your great work. One little thing I found :( In "dock" Menu there is a option call "right click send back". This is for the right button on Trackpad, but it doesn't work. No matter if the option is on or off, the function "back" is not given. Maybe you can fix it?
Will test the Rom more in the next Week.

I'm sorry Sir,
Indeed as mentioned in the second post in Settings --> Display there is an option "Wallpaper modes" which you have to set to normal.
Sorry indeed, I didn't read that second post thorroughly enough so I missed that part. Thanks for pointing that out!

Yet I have issues using that option as after a while the homescreen transitions act up and would not draw correctly.

If you like it, please donate so Tim has incentive to work on Nougat....

I donated.
I did as well. Good work needs to be honored.

No problems for me either,
if adaptive brightness is off in settings it doesn't rely on the sensor, so the brightness level is staying constant and shouldn't flicker.
It kinda sound as if something is bad with your installation.
You mention that you had issues formatting ?
Are you sure that it effectively formatted data and that you don't have left overs from a previous rom ?
That could definitely bring that kind of issues if settings are mixed up.

Also make sure that if / when you restore things that you never restore system apps / settings.
Overall if I were you I'd try to reinstall.
format /data
flash the rom + supersu + gapps in one shot
wipe cache
reboot.
In the setup process do not choose to restore apps and see if that helps.
That way you have a full clean setup.
As for lagging, I have no lags on 031 here with a fresh install and my main apps restored.
(performance on 030b were not as good, so it also depends which version you installed)

But after a fresh install it takes a bit of time to settle, it also depends what you restore and if you have lots of medias in your storage.
As apps are going to update and mediascanner is going to scan everything all around.
One of the first thing I do myself is set a mediascanner "white list" filter to /system/media and reboot
that way it doesn't scan everything all the time ;)
and I simply use a filemanager to open media I want :)
Thank God I found this post. I had the same thing happen, thought I'd just need to update the recovery to the latest version to find it hadn't been updated in over a year. Starting to worry I searched this thread and did as you had to correct the data partition. You definitely weren't alone! The second attempt at a format worked fine so hopefully this rom will be good.

I'll be sure to donate if so, thanks for keeping this tablet alive :good:

Hi, i've been testing the rom for the last week or so and i'm very impressed. The only fault i've found so far echos racer290's comment. The right click on the keyboard can't be set to act as back key (it doesn't appear to work). Would be great if that could be fixed.

One donation coming your way :)

Anyone else have less than optimal wi-fi speeds? On 5mHz, using Ookla Speedtest app, I max at 46Mbps, yet my Nexus 6P (running 7.1.1) scores 76Mbps. Both devices 8 feet from the router and running Katkiss #32.

On 2.4mHz my speed drops to 42Mbps (big appt building), yet my 6P still get 67Mbps.

Awesome Firmware.
After wiping everything it installed like a dream.
The only Glitch I had was with my 128GB MicroSD card. It first said it was corrupt. Then after copying everything off. I put it in and tried the setup wizard. It tried to format. and the Tablet crashed and restarted. Does the same every time. :(

I've been using the SD Card for 6 months.

My sd card reported the same thing. Since I didn't see anyone else with the issue I just unplugged it. I never had an issue with it on stock rom.

What was your sdcard format ?
exFat is not supported for the moment, so you'd need to use another format like fat32, ntfs, f2fs.
Better to format it in a PC, and also make sure you eject it cleanly as the fsck for certain format on android is not the most reliable and can fail sometime.

I figured that was the case. So I copied everything off of it, and had the wizard step through and format. And part way through the format it crashed and reset.

I have a 64 GB. I will try and put that in and see if it sees it as corrupt. I will also format it as ntfs, on my PC and see if it works.

Just my 2 cents worth on this. I've had the same problems with microSD cards- not recognized or getting corrupted- on several Android devices. A friend pointed me to SD Card Formatter v4.0 from sdcard.org (the people that set the sd card standards). Using it instead of the built in windows formatter, I haven't had any issues for a couple of years.

Many thanks for the ROM. Will stick to it and hope for the future updates!

Some issues found:
- sometimes videos in YouTube have lags (for a bit of a second). There is no such promblems while playing videos from SD-card or Ethernet.
- multiwindow feature is almost unuseble, or I didn;t figure out how to use it - the apps are forceclosed, some times the feature doesn;t work at all

I have found Multiwindow works with little problems. Only issues I have is related to the environment and some windows not handling the reduced realestate.

My only issue is to get my extra large MicroSDs working. 128GB and 64GB

I too notice these hickups but not only on youtube. Kodi & VLC do have the same weird hickups randomly.
I did check with catlog (which has weird scrolling text issues) and found these messages which may be related looking at the timestamps as they match the times I was watching stuff.

I have no problem reading or writing to the microSD card, on the PC. I formatted it as NTFS, which you said was supported. And it was still not read, and still not formattable with the Image. I took my 64 GB microSD from my, Samsung S7Edgem (Which has lots of stuff). And it was showing as corrupt as well. Som it looks like the OS Can't support SD cards larger than 32GB. ??

Did you dirty-flash? I have no apps "forceclosed".

I use 64 gb - no problems. Works fine.

Maybe you are using it to extend internal memory?

Thank you Tim!

Tim,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this ROM! I've been using this tab with sbdags last CROMi-x KK ROM. But KK is getting very long in the tooth. I'm so glad to see you picked up this tablet after I had given up on anyone else developing for it!

After you kept my TF101 alive for so long, I knew you could work wonders with this, given the chance :)

Will install tonight, test, and report back. Donation forthcoming after that!

Thanks again.
