Awesome I've been waiting for MOAR to come to the S5. I didn't think it would be this soon tho. Only thing im confused about is what exactly has to be done to get the mod button to display correctly in settings?

I was waiting for this thread to drop so I could go through and properly thank those involved for bringing this release to us on the S5. Especially for getting it updated to NE5 in a time frame of what seemed like overnight. You guys are machines and I am proud to have been part of testing this ROM. These guys don't know what they are in for and I don't think there is any way to prepare for what happens if the old S3 users get wind of this. I just get the feeling that Sprint is going to be back-ordering S5's for the next few months.

Thank you letting me be a part of getting this ROM ready. I have every intention of helping in the future so if you need something done just let me know.

Is there any way you could make a flashable for the recent button to be the recent button (stock) @rompnit ?! TIA!

Btw no disrespect by already having a request. I just really like the recent button in favor of the menu button lol. I like the 3 dot overflow as well. @rompnit and everyone else that's a part of team MOAR!

Ran MOAR on my S3 since it first came out and now I'm running it on my S5. Running good so far with ktoonsez 6/20 kernel. Rompnit is the man !!!!

You can just reverse the instructions
here. Download root browser, navigate to system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl
system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl
Change key 254 from*MENU to SWITCH_APP
As well as
system/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl
Do the same to key 254

Reboot and it works fine.

I actually copied my edited files so when I update, I can just copy and paste it and have an easy fix.

It shouldn't change that. I do believe that's a services.jar edit to change, so changing the kl's shouldn't effect it. Mine still goes to google now on long press home.

Private mode is connected directly with Knox and Knox is disabled by SuperSU and the parts removed by most devs for custom ROMs. If it is critical that you lock down certain applications the way Private Mode does I encourage you to look into Lockdown Pro. It enables a pattern or password entry to apps you choose.

I won't say private mode will never be available, only Rompnit and the other devs can say that, but it will come at the cost of working around a Knox-enabled phone.

It does have the fingerprint reader working and allows it to be a lockscreen option.

Did you go into MOAR mod control and touch the window color settings? Hitting ok on those menus will cause the color to change and you'll be surprised when you use your pulldown and it is blacked/whited out. Believe me, I did it a couple of times myself

Hmm. That I do not know. I'll install Viper now and see if I can replicate it on my device. Can you name any other apps I can test that produces that color menu?

when rebooting the little rebooting window that comes up is also like that. It doesn't happen very frequently. It just seems like a certain type of menu.

Is there a reason why the modems have been a tough find...I'm on stock but was thinking about going to NE5...any benefits? Where is the NE5 modem if so?

Seconding this. So excited for this ROM though!
Flashing now and hopefully awaiting recent button stock zip.

Here are 2 flashable zips for the recent button remap...
_S5_Stock will remap the recent button back to 'recents'
_ROM_Stock will put it back to menu in case you change your mind

I also found the offending dialogue png.. Either of these zips will fix that too.
