Based on latest nightly. But as I know battd is different and some file Camera.ko is also different size.
Everything seems working okay.

From what I could see, only three files were changed in that zip: battd, Camera.apk and camera.kocm72-120112-2249-nightly-defy-batcamfix-zip

WinMerge software reports the battd to be identical to the one from the OP and
Camera.apk identical to Nov10th Camera.apk.
So that camera.ko (attached in a zip) [along with Camera.apk] seems to be the new key to solve the camera problem of the latest Defy+ nightly --> Extract and replace in system/lib/modules and set permissions.

I just verified, and that module is nothing else than the Dec 13th Defy+ module.
So there's no need to re-upload a full nightly zip again really; I've attached the three files in a zip file; download and extract them. Download Epsylon3's last Defy+ nightly here and make a backup copy of it.
Download 7-zip and install it on your computer, then right click on the Defy+ nightly zip and choose "7-Zip-->Open archive" [NOT extract] and drag-and-drop to replace each file it its respective folder as:
Camera.apk in /system/app
battd in /system/bin
camera.ko in /system/lib/modules
Close the opened archive and go on and install this modded nightly - done!

There seems to be a newer nightly here that is not in the location you provided. Was the newer one (12th Jan) pulled or something?

Yes, and since no one (Defy+ owner) confirmed that replacing the battd manually fix the battery charging problem yet, here's a cwm flashable patch for it.
It is only the battd file from Walter's MS2Ginger 2.3.6 rom [which is also the exact same file that the afore mentioned czech forum's nightly was using btw].
And I suggest you to try this on the latest Jan 25th CM7 Defy+ nightly - which is awesome btw. You can read my first few comments on it here.
Just remember that at first boot after installation, you might get into a boot loop (at boot animation) - I know I did.
If the phone still hasn't booted up after 4 minutes: pull the battery out, put in back in and boot again; it should now work without any extra wiping.
If the patch doesn't fix the battery charging issue, I have another idea... So please let me know if this solves the problem or not.
I don't own a Defy+ so...

I've been asked why the cwm flashable zips do not work on recent CM7 nightly builds and the reason is explained here on the OP. And I've updated the first zip accordingly (batt fix not the batt+cam one) [since I can not sent it through PM...]
And btw, 800+ downloads for that zip alone and only 2 xda members thanked me... What's wrong with you guys?!?

Replacing the battd was what I did, as I said more and more over in this thread, and the rom I posted is nothing more that a CM7.2 nightly with replaced battd and camera/overlay xD
Thanks, ill try it out after flashing t o 25th jan version. The 12th Jan version notification bar gets stuck often and battery drains too fast. Every 10 mins in idle mode drains 1%

I just did not verify if the battd was the same as yours or not so my mistake for asking a confirmation...everybody seemed to want to try fully patched nightly builds..and old ones so...
Anyway, again I meant no harm and I'm just trying to help here...
Buttons dont glow at all after some time!! I've inceased buttons brightness to 100% and after a while it fades away untl i go to the brightness settings again
