First complete build I did of Carbon WiFi didn't work. So no point in even pushing it to a download server. The build that is compiling now everything should work except for screen off gestures and double tap to wake. I may release that version but I would rather have everything working

I'm using the global sandstone version...

The only thing I don't see is the product device line.

Try adding this line: ro.product.device=A0001

Save, make a backup, and try reflashing.

What'd still recommend doing is: open the zip of this rom and change the > ro.product.device=bacon to read > ro.product.device=A0001 , then flash the rom.

About to do change the device name in the zip and flash now.. Will let you know the results.

I have done both.. And neither work.
I'm not sure what's up with this particular ROM. The other AOSP ROM gave the same error?

Hmm, gimme a minute, i'll try flashing it now and see what twrp says.

Edit: Not too sure what's going on; I got it to flash; I changed it to bacon [back from A0001] it worked.. Changed it as I instructed it to you; even pulled the device in adb and got bacon, see attached pic. If you'd like, I can send you a link to the version I modified and successfully flashed.

The WEIRDEST thing is: it changed my wifi mac address, and this I can confirm cause I leave my router open with mac filtering and the device wouldn't connect, so when I went verify the id on the device was different from what I registered. So be on the lookout for that. I've seen this happen early on in the Nexus 7.

I'm not really understanding what I should try doing now?

I'm going to try flashing it via TWRP since I'm using Philz Touch Recovery..

Unfortunately due to time constraints with my business, I really don't have the time to commit to android projects that I used to have. Since I haven't been able to get WiFi working on Carbon ROM I have decided to just move on from it. I am sure it is something easy that I keep overlooking, but between family and work I just don't have enough hours in the day to hunt down compile errors and bugs etc. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up. The good news is carbon developers have posted on G+ that official CarbonROM for the One is in the works. I look forward to it! Thanks everyone

I really don't know what to tell you. You did do everything I said, and I had to do it multiple times. I uploaded the zip if you want. But honestly, aosp ROM is completely bare bones, no real added features, and is a bit of a set back from other Roms at this point.

Sadly since a couple of us lost our efs with modemst1 and modemst2, that doesn't do anything. Thanks, looks like I still have to wait for the ticket to be answered.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. I posted a link to this thread on the OnePlus forum so anyone wanting to try their pure AOSP experience wouldn't get jammed with a buggy installer script and less buggy ROM. Good luck to you

I always thought AOSP based roms were snappier or more optimized for some reason...

Maybe it's all mental lol.

True.

Exposed brings the frills?.. I just flashed back to cm11s tho...

About to try liquidrom now. I think it's based off of slim or aosp..

I'll look at the installer script when I get home tonight. It may be an issue with the updater binary used as well. I will update the updater script as well as the updater binary. BTW what recovery are you using?

    Greetings!

    What this is:
Official OnePlus AOSP CWM/TWRP Flashable .zip for the OnePlus One Unofficially Modified by me
This is OnePlus' very vanilla AOSP build with a few tweaks and fixes.
It will not goof up your baseband or recovery. I removed those items.
I may add more features in the future. We shall see!
    EXPECT BUGS!!!
Original thread with kernel source link

    Features:
Vanilla build of AOSP 8/23 Build by OnePlus One Developers
Improved installer(Should have no issues at all installing this)
    Odexed
    Rooted - SuperSU
    XPosed Framework Installer
    GravityBox
APNs added so your data should be enabled by default(You shouldn't have to manually put in APN now)
    Does NOT flash baseband/modem
    Does NOT flash recovery

MTP data transfer enabled by default
Minimal GApps included (Play Store and Search)
Stock Launcher3 replaced with Google Now Launcher
CM Keyboard and browser replacing stock AOSP items
CM 11s CameraNext as well as stock AOSP camera(Now includes 13mp support)
Other minor odds and ends I forget... It was late so cut me some slack!

    Instructions:
    1. Download to your device (OnePlus One ONLY)
    2. Reboot to recovery (TWRP2 Preferred and known to work)
    3. Do a backup
    4. Wipe data/Factory Reset (If you manually wipe the system partition, YOU MUST reboot recovery or it will error)
    5. Install the ROM zip file in recovery(Install bigger GApps package if you like but not required)
    6. Reboot
    7. Install and enable Xposed and GravityBox with the included Xposed installer and reboot again
    8. Come back to this thread and complain

Q: This won't flash on my phone...HALP!!! WHY???
A: I don't know. Give me some info like what rom is currently installed. What custom recovery are you using and what version?? I use official TWRP2 and it has worked fine for me every single time!

This will flash on whichever models are compatible with the ROM posted in the original thread. I've only flashed it on my own 64GB International version
