Hello. I want to try this rom. I am currently in PE CAF. Does anyone know if I can install it directly or should I do something else because it would be a downgrade? Thank you

Flashing zip is failing even if I flashed the zip migration before flashing the ROM. Im' getting the error "Can't install this package in top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset".
Im' flashing from the old build from this post. The last 2018 build.
Please help ?

You need to clean flash because I use different keys than Kalyansundhar did for his build.

Flash not working

Still not working... stucks on boot image.
Does someone have an idea ? I'm forced to restore my backup because flashing this new rom does not work.

Finally switched to LineageOS 15.1

I flashed it before ! Even if it was theorically not necessary because I was running the last build of the previous maintainer of this rom si I already was running naugat.
Anyway, it's no more necessary. I didn't successfully installed this rom but I switched to android 8.1 oreo from here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g5s/development/rom-lineageos-15-1-t3901872

It's maintained by @JarlPenguin and it's working for me (after flashing stock oreo firmware first from here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g5s/development/rom-android-8-1-0-oreo-stock-firmware-t3845501 ).

A big thank to @JarlPenguin for his work because I really prefere un-googlized lineageOS clean rom over stock motorola firmware (which is almost clean but googlized). A big thank to all official and unofficial lineageOS developers.

Not working on xt1799 Green Pomelo

Even though I've downloaded the latest build (https://github.com/montanadevelopmen...ana-signed.zip ) and flashed it with different versions of twrp(3.1.1, 3.2.0, 3.2.3, 3.3.1) it still fails to boot and displays:(Error:failed to load keenel). I have also tested other Nougat-based from,but none of them could be booted. I can install Pie-based Roms, but I can't install nougat-based Roms.

    How to install the rom ?
    • Copy the rom to your G5S.
    • Restart in recovery (squid or Sevenmaxs)
    • Take a backup of existing ROM.
    • Wipe clean (Cache, Data, Dalvik/ART, System)
    • Install ROM.
    • Make a wipe cache.
    • Reboot System.
    Initial load would take time.

    It is time to say goodbye. I exchanged my g5s device for Nokia 6.1 plus.

    Journey with g5s was so exciting. With all your help and support, we managed to bring the first custom rom for this device. We managed to come up with tools and procedure to unbrick the device. I thank for all your support.

    G5S is one of the solid device. Unfortunately it is a product of Motorola and we required their mercy to get security updates to the least.

    I wish everyone all the best. Once again thanks for all your kind support. If anyone wants to take over future builds of LOS14.1, please feel free.

    Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year in advance.

    I am willing to continue development of montana, a.k.a Moto G5S. But since I personally don't have the device, I need fellow contributors and testers. I already have , Reviver Kernel, a build of LineageOS 14.1 (updated from where @kalyansundhar left) and I am starting Oreo bringup for the device.
