Hi monx. Just a heads up. Flashed v1.06 and got the same "No internet on BT Tether" issue. I flashed the modified kernel you provided for 1.05 and it worked again.
Regarding the cosmetic issue, the "x" above the signal bar is the same icon shown when you dont have a SIM card inserted but have radio turned ON.
SWApp is hit and miss for me. It's ok when it works but most of the time it doesn't. Can you suggest an alternative companion app that's not feature-packed but reliable and light? I just need my Note 3 to forward messaging app notifications to the TS.

ok thx for the hint. currently im not using my TS as companion as i had SmartWatch 2 previously & not so into it. im using my TS as standalone backup phone. will share if i found any.
regarding the x icon, does it comes up only when bt tethering is turned on?

The "x" icon above the signal bars is always there when in NORMAL MODE (BT tethered or not). I did not insert any SIM card so I guess that's why yours is showing differently. I switched to [WATCH + COMPANION] Mode and it's now an airplane icon (Radio Off). The BT Internet Tether still works in this configuration (i switched it ON manually).
I saved lots of battery since wifi and radio is turned off. For 8+ hours (idle) the battery did not drop at all..or i just cant see it since the screen is so small. But its basically a straight horizontal line. As long as the TS battery survives the night with little to no battery drain, it's a huge step forward. :victory:

tbh im not sure. as long ur device can run twrp recovery properly, then u r safe to flash this rom. im currently working on twrp installer for any batches of TS.

Um. You can download mtk droid tool and install TWRP from there.
Yes, of course. I'm the retainer for TWRP on the watch.
It took a little modifying but if you check in the stock thread below there is a version for May watches.
You don't need a special installer or skill set. Use MTK droid tools to install, or if you're familiar with adb I can tell you how to install it that way too.
well I am giving this ROM a go.... it didn't blow my watch up, seemed pretty simple to flash once I figured out it was copying the zip file over and not extracting it first
I still however can't get sound to come out of my loud speaker, is this a setting somewhere? The mic works fine (tested it on Viber) and the sounds works fine over bluetooth earphones... it used to work perfectly well, but seems to have somehow been switched off / down since I flahed my previous ROM (not this one)..
I am liking the UI its got some neat features
The BT tethering seems to work very well...
shame GPS still doesnt work though....
How do i clearout all the space my backed up apps used from TWRP?

Just When I had given up on my true smart monx saves the day ... Thank you for your hard work..!!!! New version runs great. GPS is spot on.. Only issues I've noticed is settings takes a while to load.. And my camera takes a picture then shuts down the app and dosent save the pic.. I have to reset to default settings in the app then all is fine.. Until I restart The app then it happens all over again.. Not a deal breaker cause I barely use the camera anyways.. Just a heads up.. Thanks again..!!!!!!
