Fast Battery Drain

I have used this rom for like 1 week and I see a very fast battery drain and my phone is always on fire kind of. I can feel the heat and its discharging the battery very fast too. I can see my battery drained 45% in 30 mins of youtube video.

It's not just youtube or specific app, it just drains fast even in sleep or screen on time.

Rest of all I like this rom and its eye candy features.

I tried almost all the battery saving techniques (which are given in this thread and also below apps) like
Amplify
GSam Battery Optimizer
WakeLock Monitor
Greenify
Probably 2 more which I don't remember now

Nothing in the above list helped me in battery arena. It discharges like 12% an hour even in the sleep so I got like not more than 1.5 hours screen time with full battery, when I'm on stock rom it is like 3.5 hours give or take and same with AryaMod rom too.

Also one more issue with WhatsApp is I get OpenMapFix error when I use GBWhatsApp or standard WhatsApp and this continues even in AryaMod too.

Today I was able to install the mrram7 ROM on my N900A.
Can some one help me understand how to install mods?
I can get into Safesrap recovery after the ROM is installed.
The other recovery mode installs and gives errors on booting

Do I need to reinstall safestrap and if so which version will work with this ROM?
