This is with a full wipe.

It's because you are using the newer versions of clockworkmod n_n

So Confussed...

Little Help?!?

I first noticed this awesome looking theme on the thread for the DInc Gingerbread OTA ROM. So last night I downloaded what I thought would be the package and now I'm not sure, thinking not. There was a link in the original thread but the download no longer exists so I searched and found this [ROM] Warm TwoPointThree - Release One [ODEX/DEODEX] [11/20/2011] - Always Brilliant! and downloaded it.

The big question I guess is: Is everyone here waiting for an Incredible ROM or is the one I got for all these phones???

We're waiting for an Incredible version. Given that it's the holidays, we'll just have to tide ourselves over with other new toys until this beautiful rom is available for our poor old phones.

Full ROM vs. Warm-Theme

So I was following and installed the Gingerbread OTA ROM thread last month and the devs from this ROM posted a theme that looked like the twopointthree everyone here is waiting for. I really wanted to give it a shot this week since I have decided to keep the old Incredible for a few more months (hoping the HTC Edge is for real!) but the link said the file no longer existed. I went searching and that's how I ended up here after accidentally downloading the EVO WARM 2.3. Seems that the only place the "theme" exists is on that OTA thread. Long story short I was going to just wait with the rest of you for the full ROM but ended up trying that link one more time and for what ever reason it worked. Now I have in my possession a "update-Warm-Theme-incredible-Stock-Plus-2.3.4-RLS3" (26MB). Reading through many posts here I am concerned about this full ROM having issues like the rest (something to do with sense version and weather apps etc) so thought to just give this theme a try.

Have any of you tried this?
What is the difference between the theme and the full ROM?
I assume the theme is just the twopointthree eye candy but want to hear from you all.

Thanks!

I haven't run that rom but you are referring to Jermaine151's stock plus rom correct? That Warm theme was posted by the dev of this rom, Incubus26jc, and is specifically for that rom. The theme is to make that gingerbread rom shine like a Myn's Warm rom would. As you said, the theme is Warm two point two (or three) over top of the rom. Perform a nandroid backup and then install the theme if it interests you. This is assuming you downloaded the theme from the stock plus rom in this dev section. I do not have experience with that theme and rom, which is why I suggest a nandroid before flashing the theme.

The difference between the two is:

A rom is a complete new image for your phone whereas a theme is just customizing the look of the rom you have installed. In essence, it isn't Warm Two Point Three but it is as close as you will get to it for the Incredible as of this moment.

No but it was posted by Incubus26jc and he said would work with wildstang83_inc_4.08.605.2_11232011

Here is the thread and page in case anyone else is interested in trying it...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1347044&page=56

Ahh, I see. Incubus26jc also posted that in the rom I mentioned as well. I can't speak for issues but the Warm theme looks nice. It doesn't appear anyone posted issues in that thread you posted, which does not help. If no one can comment on it with first hand experience, I'd suggest flashing it and giving it a go. You don't stand to lose anything except fifteen minutes or so as long as you have your present rom backed up.

Done!

It's very nice looking and I think that's all that it is...no mods or apps. FYI - for those that want to try it out. I wiped the cache and Dalvik Cache 2x - the HTC white screen was stagnant for a long time on reboot but it finally came up. Have a look at the screen-shot...
