Power button not working, flashed deodexed stock kl3. Took the build.prop and init.d files from my sam rom. Stole some 3g tweaks and other build.prop tweaks of darky rom and now my phone is flying and so smooth. Abyss kernel 2.3

Sounds interesting.
Do you just copy those files from the ROM .zip file to the appropriate directories on the phone?
Suppose the permissions have to be adjusted too?

extract my sam and stock kl3 from eybee on your sd card. Place build.prop from sam in eybee and the init.d files. Zip the rom and flash thats all. I will post here my build.prop with extra tweaks. Use that one. Its perfect.

And while you're at it, I noticed that the nice and colorfull status bar was replaced with a more sober one in v2.
Please do provide an option to use the beautiful status bar

I made it indeed and flashed. All running fine (so far...)
Although I used AbyssNote 2.5 for kernel.

No freezes with kernel? I think notthing beats a stock rom with tweaks. I find out that every custom hase some problem. And not faster then stock with tweaks. Good luck with the rom.

Few posts back you reported using AbyssNote 2.3 though?

At the moment trying to get the colourful statusbar from MySam Ed1 into the ROM. Could you confirm that I do have to replace framework-res.apk and services.jar?

Have been comparing and looking around. Think that it should be possible to totally replace the Framework directory from Ed1 to deodexed KL3 from eybee1970.

Figured out the mms error had to do, with my restore of SMS through SMS backup & restore app. Deleted my restored SMS's and that stopped it. Now to figure out how to fix market.

I've tried to change the settings in display. show all animations. and there's allways the same animation. (I only get black screen).

This rom kicks ass, the fastest of the lots.

My only issues I encountered are
-Can't buy from Market even though changed the CSC using nitrality to the code same as stock rom.

-No 'power menu' to reset and turn off phone.

-Yahoo! Mail video chat don't work/can't send and receive invitation. Although I don't need it, but wonder what missing system app ia needed for it to work.

Despite the few short comings, this is still the best rom.

THanks for your suggestion as I wanted to install the original clock app too. However, after applying changes to S:ClockPackage, I get an error:

Some of the operations failed:
S: ClockPackage: package rejected.

Any idea?

I do think you should left ClockPackage in your ROM as clock is a quite essential piece of software for almost everyone.
