I do think you should left ClockPackage in your ROM as clock is a quite essential piece of software for almost everyone.

Ya, went back to stock withKL7 rooted+Cwm till some new rom updates come up.

THanks for your suggestion as I wanted to install the original clock app too. However, after applying changes to S:ClockPackage, I get an error:

Failed

Some of the operations failed:
S: ClockPackage: package rejected.

Any idea?

Had a similar issue (not on the same package though) but same error message
I retried and it worked...
I think I had to reboot after installing, not sure
But for sure retrying got me the package there

Jblanc's KL3 Ed 1 is impressively smooth, can a stock rom get close to that smoothness?!

By the way, jblanc, I'm still testing but so far, your KL3 Ed 1 got me impressed!

Sounds interesting.
Do you just copy those files from the ROM .zip file to the appropriate directories on the phone?
Suppose the permissions have to be adjusted too?

extract my sam and stock kl3 from eybee on your sd card. Place build.prop from sam in eybee and the init.d files. Zip the rom and flash thats all. I will post here my build.prop with extra tweaks. Use that one. Its perfect.

ohh, strange one, I had already installed Google Search Bar from the market and the G: GoogleQuickSearchBox was ticked as installed

I uninstalled the market app and installed the one from nitrality and got it working, thank you! (I hit your thanks button)

I guess the one from nitrality goes into /system which make the diffrerence ...

I'm currently hesitating to test the latest KL7 about which a lot of good feedback can be read or stick to this one (the search bar was the only small grip I had about this)

I wouldn't exchange a build.prop between KL3 to KL7 as they are different bases, obviously.

Hoping the same here
Currently running stock KL7 which is much better than stock KKA but Jblanc's KL3 Ed 1 is really smoother
I think I'll get back to that one!
