I hope it works for you. Otherwise @ebonit suggestion of a new motherboard may be the only way restore your tablet. Do let us know how you go.

After 3 days trying to do several things, I assume my tablet is bricked definetely. My next step is getting a motherboard replacement and hopefully bring it to life again. Lots of thanks @gc2712 @ebonit!

I want to share how I managed to install KatKiss-7.1_TF300T_024.zip on my Asus TF300T running Android 4.1.1.
Bootloader / Build was 10.4.2.20-20121228.

Long Storry short:
You have to upgrade to newer bootloader bevore anything works.
Without this, you can't flash new android, it wil hang on boot and stuck with the "Asus" logo.

Upgrade:
1) Unlock Bootloader with Asus "UnLock_Device_App_V7.apk", remove your google account from device first, this App says always your google password is wrong.
2) Download from Asus and unpack twice to get a >800MB "blob" file: TF300T-WW_epad-10_6_1_27_5-UpdateLauncher.zip
3) Go in fastboot mode (boot with "vol down", select "USB" with "vol down", confirm with "vol up")
4) On a PC use fastboot:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system /path/to/blob
fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot
5) Let the tablet boot, you have factory rom with android 4.2.x, enable usb debugging (necessarry?), shut down.
6) Go in fastboot mode again, then on PC flash the TWRP recovery
fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash staging /path/to/twrp_tf300t_kang_2.8.7.2.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
7) Now you can use TWRP and install KatKiss-7.1_TF300T_024.zip like described on page 1.

Enjoy!

Dear @timduru and @ebonit,
thank you for all support and releases.
I have been troubleshooting the revision 039 with my tf300t for 4 days. I have big issue with WIFI tethered from my phone (channel 13).
specs:
I followed post n.1 with:
- KANG TWRP 2.8.72 ( however I also tried with 3.3.1.0)
- 039
-arm 7.1 Pico (I tried also some older version)
-Super SU 2.82

Wifi does appear sometimes but with limited speed (i.e. 0,1 KB/sec). I read already all post and tried to change all regulatory domain region.
I have my neighbor with a router wifi (tested to be in channel 6) and with that connection works fine. I tried to change channel to my phone but due to this android release it is not possible without rooting (xiaomi redmi note 8pro). I dont know aymore what to do..please help

Please note, you don't have a big issue with that ROM. The culprit is the wrong channel. In the past there have been similar problems from time to time depending on different regions. In Europe for instance channel 12 and 13 work fine with this ROM. So keep away from channel 13 and either stay on your neighbors channel 6 or connect the tablet to your own router. If you need to know more, please search this thread for "WiFi channel 13".
PS:
You may also try: Settings -->advanced -->change WiFi regulatory domain -->select EMEA and Rest of World !

"Hello!
I remember you helped me a lot lately with my Transformer, even though I didn't be able to turn it alive again.
Yesterday I got a new ASUS Tf300 and I want to install the Nougatella ROM now, but I'm stuck when trying to unlock the bootloader. I downloaded the Unlock V8 tool, but it says that it only works with Android 4.2, and I realized I'm in 4.1.1, so the file doesn't work at all. I registered my device on the ASUS website, but I can't still unlock the device. What should I do? Could you help me, please?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Best regards."

@Cr4ck86
Thanks for your private note above! Yes, I can help you by advice.
Please upgrade your new device with the last ASUS firmware (stock rom Android 4.2 Jelly Bean). After that you may unlock the bootloader ending 27.5 without issues.
Go to ASUS website and download "WW_epad-user-10.6.1.27.5" and do the upgrade like recommended by ASUS.
Good luck! :cowboy:

Thanks a lot! I've just upgraded the device and now I'm on the bootloader ending in 27.5, as you said. Whenever I try to unlock the bootloader now, the app says there are some problems, and show a message like this: "An unknown error occurred, which may be a network connection issue. Please wait and try again later."
I search that on the Internet and found that it's pretty common, and it's a problem with the ASUS servers. What should I do next? Just wait until the ASUS servers accept my device? I already registered it, so I don't know what to do (apart from waiting, of course).

Thanks in advance for your help, again.

It may be helpful to read this by @berndbl: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tr...inners-guide-unlock-custom-rom-tf300-t3061648
Don't forget firstly to deactivate your Google account on the device! It's very important
I read the thread you said and others in this forum, but the problem still persists. I phoned ASUS and they told me that they provide now the tool for unlocking, but there's no more they could do about it. I registered the device with the SN on the website with my personal account. Either the v8 or the v7 unlock tools keep showing the same error message.
I tried doing a factory reset, skipping the Google Account step, enabling "Unknown sources" and USB Debugging to install them...nothing happens, only the message.

I don't know what to do next, because I read the only way to install a custom recovery and KatKiss ROM is by unlocking the bootloader. Am I right?

Thanks a lot.

"Please note, V8 does not install at all anymore. V7 will install if you allow "less secure apps" in your Google account settings. On the web - not your Google account on the tablet.
Delete the Google account from the tablet (Settings > Accounts), then run the tool again. If that doesn't do it, do a factory reset from Settings, reboot and during the initial setup establish a WiFi connection but skip the google account setup, then run the tool.
This can be a 5 Minute operation that goes without a hitch or a very frustrating experience with lots of error messages. There is no definite rhyme or reason for this. For some people it works like a charm, for others it works after 15, 25 or 55 attempts, for some never.... This problem is widely discussed on several forums. Google it if you hit that roadblock.
To check if you are unlocked, boot the tablet and read the tiny script. It should say:
The device is unlocked."

Compatibility

Hi!
Great work on that rom! I see miscellaneous info about the compatibility of the tf300 roms with my me301t (asus memo pad smart). Is it takes some compatibility pack to make it work or it`s no go? I am using unofficial home brew omni 5.1 + twrp now.

thank you!

Just installed, great ROM! TF300T runs in 2020 better than it was new :)
Only issue I experience is that camera won't work. Is it a known issue? I didn't find a disclaimer on that in the main ROM page. Help appreciated.
